About the role

Plant 2 Warehouse Supervisor role is responsible for leading and supervising Warehouse Persons in the safe, efficient and accurate receipt, storage and on-time shipment of finished products while driving improvements in safety and cost control. They leverage the full value of employees through coaching, feedback, and assignments – through periodic job performance reviews as needed. This is a salaried exempt, day shift position.

Responsibilities:

  • Coach and encourage employees to perform warehouse work in a safe, efficient and reliable manner, foster teamwork and pride in the crew, and communicate plant goals, standards and direction, and ensure accountability
  • Ensure that the workplace is free of harassment, discrimination and that individuals are treated with respect
  • Ensure that all work is done in accordance with applicable policies, standards, procedures, and protocol, coordinate and support Distribution ISO procedures.
  • Coordinate Warehouse activities with the Distribution Superintendent, Scheduler, and other personnel as appropriate; maintain on-going communications with these parties concerning job status, problems that may arise, and recommended solutions
  • Develop, coordinate and issue daily instructions for personnel to meet all day-to-day objectives with respect to safety, environmental control, efficiency, reliability and productivity
  • Monitoring and verification of warehouse inventory; complete cycle counts
  • Prepares, sorts, prioritizes and issues customer orders and intercompany transfers (cross-dock) to Warehouse Staff
  • Oversee the timely receipt and put away of new production as well as the receipt of raw materials for the plant
  • Conduct scheduled Safety Meetings as well as daily Toolbox Talks, and ensure ongoing compliance of safety rules, safe work practices, and housekeeping and perform safety audits
  • Ensure scheduled shipments are shipped on time working with Distribution Specialists, IBP, and CSR’s
  • Complete weekly and monthly reporting requirements to support distribution.
  • Monitor and track costs associated with the ASH 2 warehouse along with the goods receipt of invoices
  • Active involvement in any other warehouse-related activities or duties
  • Operational Safety: Knowledge of methods, accepted practices, considerations and regulatory requirements associated with safety and protection of workers, environment and site
  • Organizational Awareness: Knowledge of the organization's vision and goals, major functional processes, operating principles and requirements, values and code of ethics; ability to apply this understanding appropriately to diverse situations

You should possess:

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Possess a minimum of five (5)) years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Supervisory and coordination skills
  • Knowledge or various mechanical equipment and machinery
  • Functionality with various computer programs, specifically Microsoft Office Suite and SAP

Schedule/Hours

This is a salaried exempt day shift position.
