Warehouse Operator - FTC 12 months

To complete all required Warehouse operations in a safe and organised manner.  Ranging from goods receipt to goods dispatch, this includes goods receipt quality checks and storage, housekeeping, and raw and packaging material delivery.  As well as production, collection and storage of finished product from production, to dispatch of finished product to customers.

Work with the logistics co-ordinator to organise all required material for dispatch to be removed from the racking storage area and inspected prior to loading.

Responsibilities 

Meet with all dispatch hauliers, check their paperwork to ensure they are in the right place and also check their trailer for contamination/cleanliness, before directing the driver into the relevant loading bay.

Complete all loading of Finished Product for dispatch, making sure all Quality checks are carried out to ensure the correct material is loaded on the correct trailers with no damage or risks to supply to the customer.

Carry out regular stock checks to ensure the integrity of the warehouse stock control as well as take part in the Aycliffe Annual Stock Take days when required.

Remain vigilant at all times when handling stock to avoid damages and where any damages or spills are identified, ensure they are cleaned up as soon as possible to keep a high level of housekeeping in all areas.

Be responsible for the reception of all Raw Materials, packaging materials and pallets for the Aycliffe business. Carry out all necessary safety and quality checks prior to unloading of material.

Unload acceptable material, book into SAP system, label and then store in the relevant material storage area in a safe and organised manner, ensuring all receipt paperwork is filed correctly.

Take ownership of the housekeeping in the main RM storage areas and lead all required improvement processes to ensure the areas remain clean and tidy at all times.

Qualifications 

NVQ Level 3 (preferable) with GCSE 4/C and above in Maths and English

SAP experience (preferable)

Previous experience within warehouse or distribution with FLT licence (bendy preferable)

Benefits 

Role is being recruited on a fixed term contract for 1 year but potential to be made permanent.

Working hours are Mon - Fri working between 6am - 10pm, working 8 hours a day

Salary is £24,050 once signed off with a shift allowance of £2,100
