INEOS Joliet & Calabrian have an exciting opportunity for a Vice President, Supply Chain and Procurement to join our business. This position will be located at the INEOS Enterprises US Headquarters in Columbus, Ohio.

The INEOS Joliet facility was originally constructed by Amoco starting in 1957. At our ~775-acre site in Channahon Township (about 40 miles southwest of Chicago) we produce three products - Purified Isophthalic Acid (PIA), Trimellitic Anhydride (TMA) and Maleic Anhydride (MAN). Our products are used in a wide range of applications, including PET packaging, unsaturated polyester resins (UPR), coating resins, plasticizers, copolymers, lubricants, and various other resin, ester, and specialty products.
INEOS Calabrian is a leading supplier of sulfur dioxide and related derivatives used in water treatment and other applications. The Company manufactures sulfur dioxide and downstream derivatives such as sodium bisulfite, sodium metabisulfite, and sodium thiosulfate and serves markets in North and South America. Its products are used in industrial water treatment applications as well as other specialty applications in mining, personal care, pulp and paper processing, food preservation, and oilfield production. The INEOS Calabrian production sites include INEOS Calabrian (Port Neches, TX) and INEOS Calabrian Canada (Timmins, ON). Passport is required to travel to Timmins ON.
Job Objective
As a member of the INEOS Joliet & Calabrian Board, the VP of Supply Chain & Procurement leads the Indirect & Logistics Procurement, Supply Chain, External Warehousing, Supply and Operations Planning. activities. The role has accountability for providing strategic direction, execution of the business plans & line management of these functions.
Key Responsibilities of the position include, but not limited to:
- Stewardship of People: Assesses organizational capabilities, develops staff and leverage strengths while addressing personnel developmental opportunities.
- Indirect Procurement: Develop, manage & execute the sourcing strategy & procurement of indirect goods & services categories, including engineering parts, external support services, CAPEX procurement, and a range of process chemicals, packaging & utilities required for our production operations as well as management of the onsite storehouse.
- Logistics/Scheduling: Defines the strategy & oversees the logistics operations of the business, including the contracting & management of third-party road, rail & marine shipment service providers, in-bound & out-bound logistics scheduling, plus the utilization of external warehouse services & toll-manufacturing/packing services.
- Sales & Operations Planning: Business level owner for the Sales & Operations Planning process (“S&OP”). Seeks to optimize the manufacturing schedule on short, medium & long- term horizons, balancing sales demands, customer service levels & working capital targets.
- Functional Leadership: Provide vision, leadership, coaching & decision-making support to the indirect procurement & supply chain teams at INEOS Joliet.
- Senior Management: As a member of the INEOS Business Management Team, the role holder has accountability for the overall strategy & performance of the Indirect Procurement & Supply Chain functions under their remit. This includes the preparation & delivery of monthly reports at Business Management meetings, as well as obtaining formal sanction for new commercial contracts, in-line with INEOS governance rules.
- SC&P Compliance: Responsible for ensuring full compliance by observing anti-trust rules & making certain that the team is fully trained & compliant. Accountable for ensuring INEOS Joliet Terms & Conditions & formal contracts/agreements act in the best interests of the business.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree (e.g., Procurement, Business, Sales or Marketing, or Chemical engineering with strong commercial affinity) or equivalent
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Procurement &/or Supply Chain/Logistics roles, ideally within the chemical/process or allied industries, with recent experience in a materially similar, senior-level position.

- Computer literacy (SAP, BW, MS Office)
