We’re looking for a Treasury Analyst to join the INEOS Acetyls team based in Hull.We need highly motivated individuals who want to be part of our growing business.

INEOS Acetyls is a global chemicals business producing acetic acid and a range of derivatives across Europe, Asia and America. We’re part of INEOS - one of the largest petrochemical companies in the world, employing around 26,000 people across 194 sites in 29 countries.

You will be based at the Hull site, which is the largest producer of acetic acid, acetic anhydride and ethyl acetate in Europe. The products we produce are essential building blocks used in almost every industry, including renewable power, automotive, pharmaceuticals, coatings and textiles.

Hull is also home to the business's global Technology Development and Support Team and is based on the 370-acre Saltend Chemicals Park - a cluster of world-class chemicals and renewable energy businesses at the heart of the UK's energy estuary.

The opportunity

As Treasury Analyst your primary responsibility will be to proactively operate the UK Treasury activities for INEOS Acetyls Europe (IAUL) and INEOS Manufacturing Hull Limited (IMHL) including accounts receivable, banking and payments and cash forecasting to ensure business funding within agreed specifications.

Key accountabilities

  • Provide an accurate weekly 13 week rolling cash flow forecast, including variances from previous week for IAUL and IMHL
  • Ensure sufficient cash availability across IAUL and IMHL bank accounts and be responsible for cross currency transfers to manage cash position whilst optimising FX costs.
  • Manage the vendor payment run schedule to timetable to ensure the timely and accurate payment of all vendors and employee expenses for IAUL and IMHL, following the Delegation of Authority. Investigate any failed payments.
  • Manage DD, SO, BACS and tax liability payments.
  • Lead communications and cash projects with the internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to banks and senior INEOS managers.
  • Agree all intercompany balances (including operating balances, loan and interest) at each month end ensuring that all transactions are accurately posted by European Acetyls in SAP.
  • Assist the Hull Controller and EtAc Controller to explain working capital movements related to payables and receivables.
  • Post cash receipts and ensure the timely resolution of allocation queries.
  • Manage all banking documentation / signatories, account opening and closures as necessary, following the Delegation of Authority.
  • Reconcile the IAUL and IMHL bank accounts on a monthly basis, ensuring all reconciling items are cleared timely.
  • Assist with the annual audit as required for IAUL and IMHL.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Citi Bank, Barclays and KBC to ensure queries and advice are provided promptly.

About you

We are looking for someone who has treasury and cash flow experience preferably in a manufacturing industry.

Ideally you will be qualified / part qualified (CIMA/ACA/ACCA/ACT) or qualified by experience with an A-Level in mathematics.

You will have strong numerical and analytical skills, business acumen and an understanding of business drivers. Well-developed PC skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc) and knowledge of SAP are key to this role along with excellent attention to detail.

The ability to adapt to changing business requirement/processes/environment is essential along with a willingness to learn and a can-do attitude, wanting to succeed as an individual as well as within a team. 

The successful candidate will be pro-active with strong interpersonal and communication skills to resolve issues and present information effectively, adapting communication approaches depending on needs of the audience.

You will be well organised and flexible when dealing with regional issues against tight deadlines and differing time zones.
