INEOS Trading & Shipping is entering a significant phase of growth as we bring new world-scale assets online, expand into new markets and further strengthen our global trading footprint. To support this, we are looking for a driven, curious, and highly analytical individual to join.
This is a role for a self-starter who wants to be close to the markets, influence commercial decisions, and help shape strategy across one of the world’s most dynamic petrochemicals groups.
The Role
As an Analyst at INEOS Trading & Shipping, you will help develop a leading information and market-insight capability that supports both our traders and senior stakeholders across the wider INEOS Group. Our core markets include global crude oil and refined products, US natural gas and NGLs, petrochemicals, and associated shipping markets. We primarily trade naphtha, ethane and LPG, so a deep and evolving understanding of trade flows, balances and market drivers will be central to your success.
In addition to supporting day-to-day trading activity, you will help prepare high-quality presentations and reports for senior management and contribute to strategy discussions across the business.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

- Enhance data systems and drive automation and efficiency through coding and digital tools.
- Analyse crude, natural gas and NGL production data.
- Contribute to long-term strategic analysis on fundamentals and price trends.
- Coordinate closely with the shipping team and build internal and external networks to strengthen freight insight and idea generation.
- Support analytical and strategic inputs for major commercial negotiations.
- Support analysis and strategy for key commercial negotiations across feedstock, infrastructure and shipping.
Skills and Knowledge Required:
- A strong quantitative or data-focussed degree.
- Proven analytical skills with relevant work or academic experience.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable business recommendations.
- A drive to improve systems, automate processes and enhance efficiency; coding skills strongly preferred (Python and Microsoft Power Apps a plus).
- Genuine interest in energy, oil & gas, and chemical markets.
- Ability to perform under pressure and balance multiple competing priorities.
- Highly collaborative and team-oriented.
