Terminal Manager & Systems Specialist
INEOS, one of the largest independent global chemical companies, is seeking to recruit a highly motivated and professional Terminal Manager & Systems Specialist.
The Terminal Manager & Systems Specialist will provide management of the 3rd party logistics terminals responsible for the storage and handling of polymer products. Responsible for ensuring appropriate and cost effective logistics solutions and ensuring that all corresponding commercial and logistics IT systems are fit for purpose. Responsible for procuring and managing the terminal and packaging contracts.
Key responsibilities are:
- Contract manager for the on-site and off-site logistics terminals
- Development and maintenance of strong working relationships to ensure that performance targets are met and that the terminals operate safely
- O&PUK’s supply chain ERP system “super-user”, acquires and shares expert knowledge internally
- Develops deep knowledge of the logistics market and builds strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders. Aims to lower costs and improve performance
Candidates must also have experience and understanding of the following:
- Significant experience in a relevant role/business
- Significant knowledge of SAP ERP
- Contract management experience within a supply chain function
- Strong business sense and the ability to influence commercial partners
- Strong supply chain HSE knowledge
- Broader skills to include:
- Teamwork
- Negotiation skills
- Effective communication
- Managing relationships
