Main role purpose:
The Jemeppe-sur-Sambre Service Desk team is looking for a motivated telecom technician who will be mainly responsible fo the plant local area network.
Key responsibilities & accountabilities:
- Design, install, configure and maintain the LAN infrastructure (firewalls, Cisco switches, access points, cabling, ...), configure, maintain and support the local VoIP system (MITEL), manage the internal CCTV cameras network of the plant and related applications (OMNICAST);
- Maintenance of the access control equipment;
- Analyse internal customer complaints and recurrent incidents and propose solutions or areas of improvement;
- Build and update technical documentation and inventories;
- Participate in various IT Infrastructure projects.
Key skills & experience:
- Bachelor in computer and science or equivalent through experience
- Minimum 5 years of IT professional experience in managing network equipment in a large organisation or company
- Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP protocols and network principle (switching/routing)
- Advanced knowledge in Cisco Network and equipment. Cisco (level CCNP) certification is an asset
- Experience with VoIP and Unified Communications
- Familiarity with ITIL methodology
- Fluent in French and English
- Natural aptitude for trouble shooting and problem solving
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to handle multiple tasks with minimum supervision
- Ability to prioritize tasks and projects to optimize operations
- Excellent communication skills
- Customer oriented and cool tempered
- Desire to learn and readily embraces changes
