ABOUT OUR OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for two Technical Support Engineers (1 permanent and 1 agency contract) to provide professional Chemical Engineering support to all aspects of our Hydrocarbons Asset Operations.
Key accountabilities
- Provide Chemical Engineering discipline expertise in troubleshooting asset vulnerabilities to minimise impacts upon the short to long-term asset operating plan. These include developing plans to close Process Safety Gaps.
- Deliver formal Chemical Engineering input and approval for plant modifications to ensure delivery of safe, fit for purpose, fully documented Asset improvements (including tankage, asset and project modifications).
- Support technical investigation of plant upsets and incidents.
- Support resolution of assigned vulnerabilities and process engineering work plan.
- Support technical design for modifications in support of statutory inspection programs.
- Support technical design development for modifications impacting the Hydrocarbons area.
- Manage operating envelopes for Hydrocarbons Area, ensure operating limits are defined, monitored and adhered to and investigate deviations.
- Propose Studies and Projects to be included in asset investment plans.
- Coach/mentor Chemical Engineering graduates to support professional development of individuals and increase asset/Site/company competency levels.

ABOUT YOU
- Degree qualified Chemical Engineer.
- Chartered (or in the process of becoming chartered).
- High level of communication skills, dealing with all levels in the organisation.
- Strong analytical and complex problem solving skills.
- Strong understanding of process safety concepts and issues.
- Excellent understanding of the application of a Plant Modification process and associated documentation management systems for Top Tier COMAH sites.
- Experience with Tankage/Jetty operations/design would be an advantage.
