Technical Sales Manager

Job Purpose

The postholder is the driver of sales of specialty chemicals within INEOS Performance Chemicals (IPC) of INEOS Inovyn  to ensure it reaches and exceeds the total annual budget margin in a given global customer base. 

Key responsibilities and accountabilities 

  • Develop and manage a sustainable key customer portfolio in line with margin, volume and cash contribution targets.  Deliver a growth strategy for the given regional portfolio of customers.  Manage and optimise sales pricing/volumes in line with Budget. Adapt and deploy IPC's commercial strategies.
  • Provide customer feedback to the Commercial & technical team with the aim to develop opportunities and new products to meet customer needs.

Key skills and knowledge required

  • Degree or similar qualification, preferably in a technical discipline  
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a commercial/sales role
  • Able to understand and deploy IPC's Commercial practices 
  • Some experience in negotiation, with a focus on customer relations 
  • Able to influence customers at the highest level/develop strong personal relations 
  • Strong team player, results driven and able to work efficiently under pressure 
  • Good communication skills with the ability to interact at all hierarchical levels 
  • Self-managing and able to perform effectively in difficult circumstances
