Job Title
TAR (Turnaround) SHE Supervisor -Temporal position-

Altamira, Site 

The Position:

Tornaround SHE Supervisorensures compliance with Safety, Health and Environmental requirements during daily execution activities, playing a key role in maintaining adherence to regulatory and Company standards throughout the TAR (Tornaround). This role emphasizes field-based leadership, increasing the frequency and quality of evaluations to verify compliance with procedures and Operational Discipline (OD). As a key leader in the field, the SHE Supervisor collaborates to review and enforce safety and environmental policies, ensuring alignment with established protocols. Provides ongoing training and support on safety aspects, fostering awareness, competence, and a strong SHE culture to minimize risks and promote a safe work environment.


What you will do: 

Responsibility 1 – Safety Performance

  • Ensure compliance with Company’s safety policies, including ISO standards, GMP, and Safety, Health, Environmental & Quality (SHE) policies.
  • Train the TAR (Turnaround) team in SHE programs, best practices.
  • Promote and perform safety audits and Day-in-the-Life Observations (DILOs) to verify adherence to operational discipline.
  • Ensure proper implementation of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) plans and support the analysis of critical permits (line breaks, confined space entry, etc.).

Responsibility 2 – SHE Planning

  • Participate in identifying and assessing risks for TAR (Turnaround) activities, developing risk matrices and mitigation plans.
  • Ensure all activities are covered by Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and the required work permits.
  • Monitor field activities to ensure compliance with SHE policies, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions promptly.
  • Conduct daily safety and environmental inspections in TAR (Turnaround) work areas.
  • Ensure all contractors comply with the company’s safety and environmental standards.

Responsibility 3 – Drive Safety Culture to Achieve Interdependence

  • Identify and address emerging safety issues, ensuring required actions are communicated and addressed.
  • Ensure that a risk mitigation process is in place before and during work activities.
  • Promote a culture where employees feel empowered to speak up and have the authority to stop activities in unsafe conditions.
  • Actively promote high-quality participation in Safety Task Forces (STF) and Operational Discipline (OD).
  • Supervise contractors to ensure compliance with SHE standards and applicable regulations.

Responsibility 4 – Ensure Alignment with Site SHE Directives

  • Obtain necessary approvals for special SHE plans, such as performing work uninterrupted or deviations from standard work procedures (SWP).
  • Promote and drive the Safety Culture Assessment program.
  • Coordinate with Occupational Health for risk detection and mitigation related to health and hygiene.


What you will bring: 

  • Level of education & knowledge: 
    • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related careers.
  • Experience in general: 
    • Previus experience in Turnarounds or similar projects is high desiable.
    • 3 years of experience in Industrial Safety
    • 2 years of experience in Local Legislation applicble to Safety
    • 2 years of experience in personnel Administration
  • Technical skills: 
    • Risk assessment and management
    • Health and Safety Regulations
    • Safety Audits and Inspections
    • Emergengy Response Planning
    • Safety Training and Incident Investigation
