The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for end-to-end supply chain, distribution and logistics.
Primary accountabilities of the role are described below:
Accountability 1: Drive SHE Excellence
Most important activities:
- Promote the 20 principles of process and Behavioral safety and adhere to life-saving rules
- Report incidents, near misses, and hazard identifications, and lead investigations onsite with appropriate conclusions and sustainable actions.
- Ensure workplace practices are in conformity with established guidelines (IGGN)
- Think of ways to improve safety through best-in-class supply chain processes & diligent procurement
- Capture contractually and enforce SHE requirements with our suppliers and contractors
Accountability 2: Drive supply chain & planning performance
Most important activities:
- Ensure supply network is fit for purpose – define and implement strategy of our railcars fleet, carriers, and terminals
- Negotiate agreements for distribution locations, railcar fleet, terminals and purchased products
- Proactively manage fleet needs (repair, inspection)
- Support sales and operations through constant and thorough production and shipping planning
- No production reliability hit due to missing empty railcars or congested rail tracks
- Optimize our cash management through optimized lead-times and reduced inventory level
Accountability 3: Lead supply chain team
Most important activities:
- Lead and coach the team to reach the budget targets
- Ensure supply chain strategies are defined and implemented
- Ensure business process excellence is in place to drive world class competencies
- Ensure the team has requisite resources, skills, coaching and training to deliver on targets
- Help the team prioritize and focus on what matters to achieve company objectives
- Develop and maintain a positive team spirit and collaborative work culture
Accountability 4: Ensure full compliance & protect INEOS’ interests
Most important activities:
- Observe anti-trust rules when applicable
- Seek internal approvals as per applicable DoA in a timely manner
- Negotiate and review T&C and contracts to protect INEOS business interests
- Track working capital (Payment terms, Inventory…) and define strategy to improve
