Supply Chain Analyst

The Supply Chain Analyst supports the organization by providing high level support in managing our MRO inventory of 14,000 unique parts, providing a statistical analysis of MRO spare part usage to assure appropriate stocking levels. The supplies and services areas may include but are not limited to one or more of the following; Maintenance Repair & Operations supplies (MRO), safety supplies, and office and janitorial supplies. The data analyst identifies opportunities to adjust stocking levels based off usage and plant needs. In addition, they review and manage what MRO items are being ordered based off a MRP system. This is a salaried, exempt, day shift position.

  • Develop inventory analysis reports
  • Support Maintenance/I&E planning by attending critical spares, MRO reduction, and shutdown prep meetings on an as needed basis
  • Manage part inventory and stock levels through the use of Struxure
  • Review “reorder” report to validate need for PO release
  • Monitor SAP stock level reports to prevent “stock out”
  • Evaluate/analyze Storeroom rebuild spreadsheet data to track and manage status
  • Approve and complete requests to setup/edit parts for ASH 1 and ASH 2
  • All other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • BA or BS degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field from accredited college or university.
  • Experience as a Supply Chain Analyst, Buyer, Planner or similar in a high SKU manufacturing, distribution or retail environment
  • Basic understanding of procurement and logistics industry and terminology.
  • Must be knowledgeable of storeroom work processes and able to efficiently interface with business management software (SAP). 
  • Demonstrated skills and abilities to define, measure, and solve technically complex issues - often with severe time constraints.
  • Excellent written, oral, interpersonal communication, and technical aptitude are required.
  • The position requires strong working knowledge of Microsoft packages, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Technical skills

  • Proficient use of Microsoft Excel and Data Visualization
  • Inventory Management: Knowledge of issues and considerations to effectively manage stocking levels of MRO.
  • Ability to work with large data sets, analyze and present trends, findings and recommendations.
  • Possess and demonstrate analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Logistics Management: Knowledge of the processes, tools and operational considerations for effective and efficient delivery of rebuilds throughout the rebuild process.
  • Understanding of “where” the parts are used in the process and criticality to plant operations.
