ACE-USD-28Purpose of the job:
Reporting to the Site Procurement Manager this role is responsible for the controlled issue, replenishment, and control of stores items at Texas City, including cycle stock counting and stores discrepancy resolution.
Environment/Context:
The role is predominantly internally focused and is directly affected by the level of inventory held at Texas City. A key element of this role will be the to ensure that critical stores are available to the operations team and outsourced maintenance provider. The ability to interact professionally with Operations Staff; provide a timely but controlled issue of stores is essential. While INEOS will seek to reduce inventory, this role plays a key part in ensuring service levels and critical parts are available to avoid unplanned shut down or delay maintenance of the asset.
Accountabilities of the job:
Accountability 1: Safety
This position – and all positions – with the INEOS organization requires that the incumbent commit to learning, following, and practicing INEOS 20 Principles of Process & Behavioral Safety as applicable to the position. These Principles are posted throughout the facility and each employee must also commit to following INEOS’ Life-Saving rules daily. These are also posted within each Acetyls facility.
Maintain safety as the highest priority of the plant.
Promoting safety culture through visible leadership in the field, including Safety Observation Conversations, Audits, and Near Miss reporting.
Accountability 2: Stores Issue
Issue stores without delay upon authorized request.
Check that approvals for issue are in place.
Accurately record stores issues in the site ERP system.
Assess urgency of requirements and prioritize issue effectively.
Accountability 3: Stores Management
Maintain accurate records within the ERP system.
Receives customer and client order.
Plan and execute cycle counts and report findings to management.
100% of stores to be counted every calendar year.
Propose changes to stock holding based of concise data.
Seek to reduce stock levels and hence reduce working capital.
Propose inventory increases as appropriate to limit operational risk.
Accountability 4: Asset Care
Ensure the warehouse is clean, tidy and meets AsCare expectations set by the Site Director.
Including the timely reporting of defects.
Propose minor capital improvements to improve safety or efficiency in stores retrieval.
Intervene to ensure safe practices are maintained, particularly with regard to manual handling.
Level of Education & Knowledge:
18 Years of Age with a High School diploma or GED
3 years of experience in warehouse operations.
Must possess or obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card prior to first day of employment.
Possess a current, valid license to operate a motor vehicle in the United States.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without visa sponsorship (U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident).
Experience & Technical Skills:
Experience of petrochemical operating environment, including demonstrable safety awareness
Forklift qualification and full driving license.
Experience in SAP or equivalent ERP system.
Competencies & Behavioral Skills:
Keen eye for detail, particularly about SAP entry.
Excellent internal customer service and client communication skills
Ability to identify efficiency improvements within a stores management environment,
Communicate with manager on all issues that affect warehouse shipping and receiving sales, profits, freight claims, and customer satisfaction.
