FPS is a 100% INEOS-owned integrated oil and gas liquid transportation and processing system with a nominal capacity in excess of one million barrels per day serving the central area of the North Sea.

Oil and gas liquids from over 60 offshore fields and St Fergus flow through pipelines into FPS. FPS transports crude oil and gas liquids from offshore and onshore entry points, processes the liquids at Kinneil and redelivers to the customer Forties Blend crude oil at Hound Point and either Raw Gas or fractionated Gas Products at Grangemouth.

ABOUT OUR OPPORTUNITY

The SIPS Lead is a key role in the Major Events (ME) Organisation within INEOS FPS.  With an extensive Major Events Programme over the coming decade, we require a SIPS Lead with significant industry/vendor experience to play a key role in the delivery of these events across our business.

The SIPS Lead will be responsible for all aspects of SIPS activity (Scaffolding, Insulation, Painting services) for FPS Major Events from initiation through to close-out. These will meet best in class business requirements and industry standards to help ensure our events are delivered safely, on time and on budget. The focus of this role is to lead SIPs and associated activities from initiation through to close-out whilst providing technical support to the relevant stakeholders as required.

Key accountabilities  

  • Lead and deliver an integrated and cost effective SIPs service to each FPS Major Event ensuring individual work packages are completed on time and within budget. Oversee and endorse scaffold, insulation, painting and PFP estimates, ensuring a quality service, and a service that represents value for money.
  • Lead all SIPs task scoping activities with vendor partner. Ready and drive the execution of all identified SIPs activities for each major event. Support scope development and constructability reviews to ensure SIPS requirements are optimised for each major event.
  • Ensures scopes of work are planned, executed and documented in accordance with INEOS processes and procedures (e.g. Management of Change, Control of Work, BOLE and WO Management).
  • Oversee vendor partner productivity and identify/eliminate issues that adversely affect productivity. Monitor vendor partner performance KPI’s and report back to Planning & Controls Manager aligning with team/org reporting requirements.
  • Accountable for delivery of the SIPS plan, ensuring pre TAR activities are complete. Coordinate and liaise with asset planners and processes for all identified pre-event activities.
  • Agree resources required for each event(and phases of) and mobilisation plans/dates (including pre-event requirements).
  • Owner of the event SIPS logistics and plot plan - including arranging/construction of all Laydown Areas, Washbays and mobile equipment storage areas (compressors, generators etc), control and immediate off-hire of rented equipment and services
  • Carry out quality inspections, review of actual costs vs. estimated costs, to ensure all services are aligned with the job requirements and represent value for money.
  • Influence SIPs teams (by mentoring, leading, coaching, training) to deliver the required tasks/scopes in the manner and to the quality required by INEOS FPS.
  • Keep up to date with SIPs technology/standards & maintain/develop self/team skills across SIPs disciplines.
  • Identify, capture and record best practices, recommendations and lessons learned and contribute to continuously improved performance to support future Major Events.

ABOUT YOU

You should:

  • Have ONC/HNC Engineering discipline or industry/work experience.
  • Have experience in delivery of FM campaigns on installations within industry.
  • Familiarity with Maintenance Management Systems such as Maximo or SAP.
  • Effective Vendor management and project co-ordination skills. Demonstrable experience of leading/working with a SIPs partner.
  • Considerable knowledge of relevant industry and scaffolding techniques/regulations.
  • Extensive experience at supervisor level on SIPs contracts (in either a client or vendor role).
  • Proven track record in monitoring and driving vendor performance including in delivering specific targets.
  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels (and in particular with client planning teams and SIPs contractor employees/supervisors).
  • Proven track record in influencing and in delivering business expectations.
