Runcorn MCP Limited is a 50/50 joint venture between Vynova (Part of the International Chemical INvestors Group (ICIG) and Inovyn (Part of the INEOS Group)) which operates a state-of-the-art membrane electrolysis plant for the production of chlorine, caustic soda and hydrogen. The plant is one of the largest cellrooms in Europe and is located at the Runcorn Site in Cheshire
Job Purpose:
Safe and efficient operation of the plant area to safely deliver the manufacturing strategy, volume and cost targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring all process activities and routine checks are carried out to a high standard.
- To ensure that all operating standards and KPI’s are adhered to and operated within agreed target limits, taking necessary action to resolve if limits are exceeded.
- To undertake initial problem solving in the plant area.
- To ensure that plant activities are achieved in a safe and correct manner; resolving or raising any deficiencies in performance to the Shift Manager.
- To complete shift handovers to a high standard and that all key information and electronic logs fully capture the current plant status.
- To be capable of issuing permits, decontamination certificates for normal and maintenance activities.
Key Skills and Experience
- NVQ level 3 or C&G Process Qualification
- Strong SHE and personal standards
- Familiar with DCS
- Committed and flexible approach to work
- Methodical approach, results focussed and with high standards of execution and attention to detail
- High level of operational/technical capability
- Good communication skills
- Proven process experience
- Capable of working without direct supervision
