INEOS FPS
FPS is a 100% INEOS-owned integrated oil and gas liquid transportation and processing system with a nominal capacity in excess of one million barrels per day serving the central area of the North Sea.
Oil and gas liquids from over 50 offshore fields and St Fergus flow through pipelines into FPS. FPS transports crude oil and gas liquids from offshore and onshore entry points, processes the liquids at Kinneil and redelivers to the customer Forties Blend crude oil at Hound Point and either Raw Gas or fractionated Gas Products at Grangemouth.
Job Purpose
- Accountable for providing Senior INEOS Leadership on FPS (Unity to Export) out of hours to ensure safe efficient operations and minimise production losses.
- Accountable for leading the safe delivery of the asset plan via effective leadership and management of their direct reports and wider organisation/contractors where support is required.
Principle Accountabilities
- Provides leadership on SHE to the technician team on shift, ensuring no harm to people, equipment or environment.
- Develops and manages direct reports with emphasis on shift training plans and apprentice coaching.
- Provides assurance of integrity via rigorous compliance with standards and procedures and completion of SVCs.
- Identifies and implements improvements to local and business unit processes.
- Acts as on-scene incident controller in the event of an emergency.
- Undertakes initial investigation of any on-site incidents and initiates required response.
- Pro-actively heightens hazard awareness across within the shift team through learning from incidents across the business unit.
- Initiates practical learning via tours and exercises. Drives area's SHE standards including emergency response and AsCare.
- Leads implementation of the availability plan on shift (Chairs Daily Ops Meeting), ensuring changes to plan are controlled and optimal, for both our Upstream and Downstream customers. Uses commercial knowledge to identify and resolve constraints in meeting targets that deliver maximum value.
- Ensures implementation of shift maintenance plan. Accountable for reprioritisation of shift maintenance activities to meet emerging needs. Ensures high standard of communication is maintained on assets between days and shifts through accurate provision of logs and handovers.
- Provides technical expertise to troubleshoot technical problems on shift, providing appropriate solutions to operational problems.
- Provides assurance that shift teams follow operating envelopes and procedures by regular auditing of working practises to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure that shift teams support and feed into the maintenance planning and execution activities to enable development and delivery of the asset maintenance plan.
- Prepare and deliver effective team briefings covering all aspects of: team and business SHE performance; team and individual competency and behaviour; adherence to site standards and procedures and ensuring all team members understand their role in delivering the business plan.
SPECIAL FEATUREs
- Role is on local shift pattern (same pattern as Unionised Technicians).
- A 6th FPS Shift Manager Role exists, which allows the 6th FPS SM to be rotational on days.
- The role will be expected to support the delivery of TARs and special planned/unplanned events out with their normal shift pattern.
Qualifications and technical experience
- Minimum Qualifications: NVQ level 3/HNC In Chemical Engineering, and/or min of 5 years’ experience in a relevant people management role.
- Minimum Experience: Strong operational background with extensive manufacturing experience and a proven record of accomplishment in delivering performance against demanding targets.
