Job Purpose
Develop, manage and lead improvements to the Runcorn MCP Ltd SHE, Security, Quality, Training and manufacturing improvement processes ensuring compliance with internal, shareholder & statutory requirements
Key Accountabilities
- To review and continuously improve SHE & local Security management processes to meet annual SHE targets and fully complies with relevant legislation.
- Manage and develop the Quality & Environmental Management Systems to ensure ongoing compliance & accreditation to system standards.
- Ensure the Internal and External audit requirements of Runcorn MCP Ltd are met.
- Lead the management processes for all training within Runcorn MCP Ltd to ensure SHE standards and competence of individuals.
- Develop and lead a sustainable manufacturing improvement process to identify & deliver improvements in SHE, Quality, Reliability, Output and Costs.
Key Skills and Knowledge
- Occupational SHE professional with 10 years’ experience in chemical manufacturing preferred
- Recognised SHE qualification preferred
- Knowledge & experience of the ISO standards & BSI processes
- Knowledge of Manufacturing excellence techniques (e.g., Lean 6-Sigma etc)
- Good knowledge & understanding of regulatory and legal framework.
- Experience of delivering learning & development strategy in an operational context specifically in relation to safety competence
- Understanding of process and shift operations
Runcorn MCP Limited is a 50/50 joint venture between Vynova (Part of the International Chemical INvestors Group (ICIG) and Inovyn (Part of the INEOS Group)) which operates a state-of-the-art membrane electrolysis plant for the production of chlorine, caustic soda and hydrogen. The plant is one of the largest cellrooms in Europe and is located at the Runcorn Site in Cheshire.
