The O&P USA business includes the product lines Ethylene, Propylene, Butadiene, Polypropylene and Polypropylene.  Manufacturing sites include Chocolate Bayou Works (Alvin, TX), Battleground Manufacturing Complex (LaPorte, TX), and Carson (Carson, CA), with a division office in League City, TX. 

How the Role Fits In:

SHEQ/Project Manager – Site Logistics (SPM) is responsible for driving, implementing and managing projects and SHEQ initiatives and improvements for site logistics activities at all INEOS O&P manufacturing sites.

The Main Purpose of the Role: 

The SPM is responsible for active coordination with primary project teams and appropriate Supply Chain/Site Logistics personnel for major projects (capital and otherwise) to insure full understanding of Supply Chain support requirements and the management of related SC sub-projects.

This role will also be the primary driver for  alignment of Site Logistics activities across all three major production sites.  In addition, this role will be responsible to create and execute SHEQ initiatives and activites including appropriate ongoing Site Logistics metrics.

Responsibilities AND Accountabilities

  • Development, execution, and reporting of Site Logistics SHEQ and operational metrics.
  • Support incident management and incident investigation processes, including

Gensuite compliance and reporting.

  • Support and lead site logistics SHEQ activities related to implementing changes or enhancements.
  • Support environmental activities to ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
  • Drive consistent SHE practices across the three manufacturing sites.
  • Promote and provide expertise on DOT/Compliance related to shipping activites.
  • Participate in control of work activities.
  • Support environmental activities to ensure compliance with Site standards and federal, state and local regulations.
  • Development of Site Logistics maintenance and capital project agenda.  Provide project leadership and execution support as assigned.
  • Participate in FEL activities for the development and refinement of project scopes.
  • Coordinate Site Logistics activities to facilitate construction and implementation of projects.
  • Ensure compliance with Management of Change (MOC) for project execution.
  • Lead Site Logistics efforts in support of Operation Clean Sweep.
  • Provide oversight of contractor activities related to SHE and training.

Skills & Knowledge Required

Education/Experience

  • Associates degree or higher required.
  • Five years of experience in supply chain or manufacturing operations.

Skills/Competencies

  • Training in DOT HAZMAT (49 CFR, IMDG)
  • Strongly developed analytical and project management skills. Ability to use advanced analytics, including Excel.
  • Proven commitment to and delivery of SHEQ compliance and improvement platforms. Working knowledge of PHMSA/DOT, FRA, IMDG, and IATA and related Federal, State, Local, and Industry compliance requirements.
  • Ability to positively influence others/promote philosophy
  • Possesses experience in project management and fulfillment via core project organizational skills acquired via both formal training and experience.
  • Exceptional persuasive and leadership skills to drive performance and accountability.
  • Strong operations knowledge and ability to learn and stay abreast of industry changes.
  • Strong demonstrated ability to manage, progress and deliver multiple and competing priorities.
