ABOUT OUR OPPORTUNITY

As the SHE Management System Specialist you will oversee the review and enhancement of our SHE management system to ensure it aligns with UK legislation & INEOS Group Guidance Note requirements (IGGNs).

Job Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of management system concepts, structures and processes to embed complex and diverse legal, O&P and Ineos Group requirements across a multi-faceted and diverse major accident hazard business including upper tier COMAH establishment and MAH pipelines.
  • Develops adaptive, innovative and fit for purpose approaches to ensure the consistent implementation of SHE management system processes across a diverse high hazard business, which includes front line operations through to key business support services
  • Sets the shape, structure and content of the INEOS O&P Management System through influencing and partnership working with a variety of technical and document authorities at all levels of the business.
  • Applies dialogue, technical knowledge and influencing skills to communicate the overall requirement of the INEOS SHE Management System across the business as a whole, in order to deliver continued safe operations and cultural change.
  • Regularly review the existing SHE management system for adherence to UK regulatory requirements and best practices. Update policies and procedures as necessary to maintain compliance and address organisational needs.
  • Through interaction with co-workers across a variety of diverse functions - plans, coordinates and delivers the appropriate Occupational Safety or SHE MS processes within the Business framework.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies to ensure the H&S system meets the requirements of HSG 65.
  • Audit and Review - Work with the Audit Lead to ensure adequate assessment of H&S processes

Qualifications, knowledge and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health, Safety or Environmental Management, or a related field.
  • Extensive knowledge of UK SHE legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven track record of developing, implemented and managing SHE Management systems.
  • Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
