Senior Marketing Communications Manager, APAC

Location: Singapore or China

Main responsibilities:


•    Create and execute a B2B market communication strategy for Styrolution’s focus industries, while coordinating with other regions and drive implementation in APAC.
•    Consult on and develop B2B marketing communications tactics for APAC and drive internal alignment including advertising, marketing/sales collateral, product launches, online and direct marketing, customer letters and their execution and measurement.
•    Work with marketing communications managers in the AMERICAS and EMEA regions to plan, develop and roll out global initiatives – internally and externally.  
•    Define, execute and measure the event and tradeshow plan for APAC. Prioritize tradeshows and events that offer Styrolution the greatest value in terms of ROI (measured by consistent messaging and branding, client engagement). 
•    Plan and track communications budget for APAC in cooperation with Global Communications Director.  
•    Build up and further develop regional intranet and give input to global website, build social media initiatives and activity. 
•    Strengthen relations with regional trade media outlets with a special emphasis on China. 
•    Generate regional input to global sustainability activities and drive further development for the APAC.
•    Develop marketing communications materials including press releases, marketing/sales collateral, digital and direct marketing campaign assets, customer letters and their execution and measurement of results.
•    Communicate value propositions of INEOS Styrolution’s products/services related to different industries and applications based on the input of product management (beyond the technical product properties) and help to differentiate from competitors.
•    Support the organization with customer webinars and innovation days in close cooperation with R&D and product management (from presentations, invitations, exhibits, marketing collaterals, participant management)
•    Manage special projects as needed with business management, e.g. customer satisfaction survey, plant openings, etc...
•    Act as employer brand ambassador within the APAC region and ensure consistent branding in all employee communication measures.
•    Support business management with the creation of presentations.
•    Give input to corporate communications on stories that showcase our value contribution to customer applications.
•    Manage any agency support needed to execute on deliverables. 


What do you need to succeed:


•    University degree in communications, journalism, or business studies with focus on marketing communications, executive or corporate communications 
•    8-10 years in marketing communications experience, in a B2B or an agency environment, ideally focused on petrochemical / plastics industry.
•    Background in operational B2B marketing / business management
•    Ideally knowledgeable of the market segments the company participates in, e.g., Automotive, Electronics, Household, Construction, Healthcare and Packaging
•    Team lead experience


Technical skills:


•    High proficiency in B2B marketing, brand management and sound knowledge in key marketing concepts and techniques.
•    Background in change management communications, employee communications.
•    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
•    Spoken and written fluency in Chinese (mandarin). 
•    Ability to write English texts in various corporate and journalistic styles, according to the specifics of the respective media.
•    Advanced management of MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
•    Design and art direction (InDesign, Canva, Adobe, etc.)
•    Strong project and event management skills
•    Social media skills (Linked-in, WeChat, etc.)
•    Demonstrated track record of high ROI delivery of projects and programs.
