Role synopsis:
The Senior HR Manager is responsible for providing HR leadership to HR Managers at the 2 manufacturing sites and one commercial site in North America The Senior HR Manager, US is a key member of the Americas Senior Leadership Team and along with the region HR Team, actively partners with the business to lead an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes quality, productivity, positive culture and effective performance management practices. The Senior HR Manager actively partners with the Global HR team and regional business leaders to ensure successful implementation of business and group-wide programs and initiatives across the organization, in support of the overall business strategy.
Accountabilities:
- As a senior member of the HR team, will provide strategic and operational excellence by translating business strategy and requirements into value-adding approaches to workforce planning, change management and operational efficiency.
- Responsible for development of, and leadership for, the Regional HR Team, including recruitment, training, performance managing, individual development, and team building.
- Acts as a thought partner to Senior leadership in defining their team and talent strategies and objectives.
- Provide strategic support to the business to design the organization structure, roles and responsibilities including the definition of the future capability requirements. May lead design efforts that span multiple functions or geographies.
- In partnership with HR and business leadership, develops an integrated talent strategy focused on acquiring, retaining and developing talent in support of building functional bench strength and high performing teams.
- As a senior HR professional, will conduct internal investigations as required when allegations of policy violations are made with the objective of influencing resolution and mitigating company risk.
- Develop appropriate policies and programs for effective management of the people resources of the business; included in this area but not limited to the following: employee and labor relations, recruitment and onboarding, employee development, succession planning, team effectiveness, change management, compensation and benefits, data protection and reporting, workforce planning and budgeting, ethics and compliance, ESG, Communication and stakeholder management
- Coach business leaders on leadership behaviors and practices, employee communication, development and performance management strategies and tactics to promote engagement and a culture of continuous growth and development.
- Be an effective listener and problem solver of people issues
- Manage other areas such as relocation, employee communication and community relations
- Manage the Regional HR budget and other financial/compensation measures (Merit, Bonus, Head count, overtime, etc.)
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, or related field required. Professional certification in Human Resources preferred. MBA or master’s is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience required in a senior leadership role preferably in a result- oriented, manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a union environment supporting/leading contract negotiations and union relations.

- Proven ability to provide sound business decisions within the bounds of labor laws and proven proficiency in and experience managing a diverse employee base.
- Must quickly establish personal and HR credibility within the organization and have the ability and the desire to embrace change as well as the ability to lead others through the change process. - Must demonstrate highly effective interpersonal communication skills and a sound understanding of the business.

- Must be detail-oriented, analytical, able to work well under deadlines in a changing environment, and able to perform multiple tasks effectively and concurrently.

The annual base salary for this position typically ranges between $180,000 and $250,000. Additionally, employees may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus as part of their total compensation package. This salary range is an estimate based on factors such as candidate qualifications, operational needs, and business performance metrics. Actual compensation may vary above or below the stated range, as permitted by applicable laws.
The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge and skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At INEOS Aromatics, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are carefully made based on the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
