Senior HR Business Partner

HR Leader, Joliet and Calabrian

INEOS is seeking an HR leader for our Joliet and Calabrian businesses. The position reports to the Chief Operations Officer and will be a member of the business leadership team and board.  Key responsibilities include developing and delivering the business HR strategy, partnering with the HR COE and managing site HR Business Partners.  The ability to be a cultural champion, drive change and promote safety is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute HR strategy in alignment with the business strategy
• Lead change management initiatives
• Lead and develop HR team
• Work with leadership on strategies to increase employee engagement and drive a strong culture
• Work with HR Center of Excellence to ensure aligned and effective delivery of HR support services for benefits, payroll, and HRIS
• Successfully coach and counsel managers on people and org issues
• Lead succession planning and performance management process
• Monitors and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
• Manage HR budget
• Drive the development and tracking of critical manpower metrics that align with business strategies

Preferred Experience

• Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Human Resources or related field; HR certification and Master’s degree preferred
• 7 years experience as an HR Business Partner or in an HR Leadership position
• Demonstrated success in leading human resources strategies and initiatives
• Ability to effectively interact with senior business leaders
• Demonstrated HR acumen with strong analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills
• Experience implementing competitive recruiting and hiring processes to attract top talent
• Experience assessing organizational capability to achieve business goals and designing and delivering targeted solutions to address gaps
• Problem solver with demonstrated ability to drive and manage change
• Ability to think strategically but also execute operational activities
• Ability to influence
• Experience in chemicals or industrial setting preferred
• Labor relations experience a plus
