Story so far
Since Sir Jim Ratcliffe announced Project Grenadier in 2017, our team at INEOS Automotive has grown rapidly. From a start-up to the scaled business we are now, we’ve hit some huge milestones along the way. Despite some global challenges, we brought our first vehicle, the INEOS Grenadier, from a vision to prototype and to market in just five years. And now, as the first customer deliveries of our INEOS Grenadier have begun, we look to the future with our first all-electric vehicle.

Your role: The Senior Finance Business Partner will principally provide Finance support to and collaborate with the Commercial department including the provision of complex financial analysis and modelling. In addition to this, you will oversee the provision of financial analysis support to the broader Commercial team to ensure consistency of approach across all Commercial areas and will be expected to deputise for the Senior Commercial Finance Manager, attending all key meetings and overseeing the activity of the Commercial Finance team in their absence.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
The role will oversee the provision of support on all financial aspects of developing and delivering the Commercial strategy including:
- Embedding themselves within the Commercial team and acting as a bridge between Commercial and Finance.
- Providing crucial assistance to the relevant Head of department by producing accurate business case models to aid with strategic decision making and the identification of opportunities and risks, analysing data and making recommendations.
- Developing vehicle pricing strategy models for all markets, considering factors such as transfer pricing, logistic costs, localised taxes and duties, in market vs global warranty provision, local marketing budgets and sales of marketing vehicles.
- Presenting the financial decision-making tools in Steering Committee meetings, Commercial Board meetings and other similar forums.
- Overseeing the work of the Finance Analysts.
- Ensuring that all practical aspects of Finance support are identified and communicated within the wider Finance team to ensure that these needs are met.
- Supporting Commercial Finance Manager with overall forecast and budgeting processes and other Business partnering activities.
- Providing support to, and ensuring a consistent and unified approach throughout, the whole Commercial Business Partnering team.
What we are looking for:
- Accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) and relevant degree.
- 3-5 years PQE, experience in an Automotive environment is advantageous.
- Key skills include the logical building of financial models and clear presentation of financial data to non-financial individuals.
- Commercial awareness, a positive attitude and “can-do” approach, comfortable to challenge at all levels.
- Ability to work well in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong Excel skills including the use of pivot tables and advanced formulae.
- Attention to detail and ability to quickly master complex requirements.
- Ability to present complex financial data in a clear and concise manner.
- Excellent time management and ability to prioritise workload.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build long term professional relationships at all levels.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
