As Senior Development Chemist, you'll be at the helm of household and laundry projects across Europe. You will drive current portfolio maintenance and lead the charge on innovation from concept to delivery, ensuring INEOS products maintain the highest efficacy and safety standards.

Projects will be delivered within set timelines and budgets because you don't just aim for excellence; you achieve it.

Your role will involve combining creativity with an eagle-eyed attention to detail. You will lead a small team of dedicated Scientists and Technicians, ensuring that NPD processes and methodologies remain strong. You will fortify the product portfolio, foster innovation, and keep pushing the boundaries of what's possible in the world of homecare and laundry.

Accountabilities

  • Generate and execute project documentation and briefs to deliver the agreed pipeline with value for the business and consider the consumer insights.
  • Plan and develop formulas and other laboratory activities, supporting investigations and upscaling activities in the factory. The role covers technical transfer of projects into production– supporting scale up and eventual production and also requires analysis of process data to maintain and report Key Processes.
  • Manage and report progress of key development projects for the segment working cross functionally. Flag issues when they arise, ensuring transparency, candour, and a solution mindset.
  • Ensure compliance in regulations, legislation and with all company regulatory, and health and safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Role model INEOS leadership expectations and foster capability to constantly evaluate processes to optimise productivity and quality amongst the team.
  • Stay abreast of the competitive landscape and latest developments across the Home Care Industry. To lead technical contribution of Strengths, Opportunities, Threats, and Weakness for building strategic plans for NPD.

Knowledge & Qualifications:

  • BSc in scientific field and proven experience formulating Household products.

Technical/Professional Experience:

  • 3+ Years experience of developing formulations for Household Products (Desirable)
  • 3+ Years experience of developing formulations for Household, Personal Care or similar product ranges for large scale manufacturing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent commercial awareness in the context of technically focussed organisations.
  • Experience working with external suppliers and distributors.
  • Experience analysing process data to maintain and report Key Process measures.
