Senior Credit Analyst (m/f/d) 

ORGANISATIONAL CONTEXT AND JOB PURPOSE

The Credit Risk Department plays a crucial role in ensuring our financial health by carefully assessing creditworthiness, setting responsible credit limits and continuously monitoring credit exposure. By implementing proactive strategies, it fosters a secure and sustainable environment for growth. Being based in Frankfurt, the Senior Credit Analyst is part of a global team and reports to the Head of Credit Risk Management EMEA. 
 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
•    Conduct comprehensive credit risk assessments and analysis for new and existing clients, ensuring alignment with the company’s risk policy and regulatory requirements
•    Utilize risk models and methodologies to quantify and mitigate credit risk
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. Sales, Finance, Customer Services) to enable business opportunities while protecting the company’s financial health
•    Negotiate credit limits with internal and external stakeholders
•    Collaborate with banks and external rating agencies
•    Monitor and report on the credit quality of the portfolio, identifying trends and potential areas of concern
•    Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in credit risk management.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
•    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business administration or finance
•    A minimum of 3 years of experience in credit risk analysis or related field within an international corporate or financial institution or a rating agency
•    Experience in managing a diversified customer portfolio of different industries, countries and cultures
•    Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision making skills
•    Strong understanding of financial information received from internal and external sources
•    Versed negotiating and good communication skills
•    Fluency in English (other additional languages are desired)
•    Good skills in MS Excel, SAP and Power BI
•    Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in an international and diverse environment
•    High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
