Senior Accountant


About The Role

The Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate day-to-day financial records, ensuring system requirements are properly reflected, preparing financial reports to meet reporting requirements, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.

Key activities include:
  • Adhere to INEOS Pigments’ 20 principles of process and Behavioral Safety and Life Saving Rules
  • Manage month-end close activities, including preparation, reviewing and posting of journal entries.
  • Monitor, record, and review daily financial transactions in the general ledger related to capital, leases, freight, logistics, and other corporate expenses.
  • Support audits by preparing schedules, responding to auditor inquiries, and providing clear explanations.
  • Research accounting issues and coordinate appropriate solutions in collaboration with management and stakeholders.
  • Complete assigned special projects accurately, timely, and in accordance with established objectives.
  • Participate in cross-functional training to support other areas of the finance team, including but not limited to budgeting and forecasting, inventory analysis, and other related financial processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

About You
 
You should possess:  
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • 4+ years of accounting experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g. SAP)
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and people skills.
  • Excellent written, oral, interpersonal communication.  Ability to formally and informally present financial information to diverse non-financial work groups.
  • Solid Mathematical and Financial acumen.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and analytical skills.
  • SAP and HFM experience, desired.
  • Experience in Capital Accounting and Fixed Assets a plus
