Having committed to significant investment over the next few years, we now require a Primavera P6 Scheduler with relevant experience to play a key role in the delivery and support of this growth in our business.

Job Purpose

  • Provide the Asset Resource Balance (internal/external) for the short (2 weeks), middle (12 weeks) and long term (1 year).
  • Schedule Asset Maintenance, Projects, Furnaces, Outages and special event activities in accordance with available resource
  • Schedule work in accordance with available resource, and request additional resource during periods of upcoming periods of high demand
  • Ensue planned work is on the O&P job schedule and maintenance execution plan.
  • Share planning skills and experience across the Maintenance and Planning Teams to improve overall capability and effectiveness..
  • Each Asset within O&P will have a single plan for all maintenance on that asset… including planned and corrective maintenance, project work and other events/outages.
  • The role will maintain consistency of planning/scheduling approach across all O&P assets, and deliver forecasting of 3rd party resource demands across O&P (such that demand planning and resource levelling can take place as necessary/appropriate both internally and with contractors).
  • The post-holder will be required to interact consistently with maintenance specialists/SIPS/Construction supervisors, projects teams on each asset to develop and deliver plans/schedules to the required level of detail (against agreed time scales and within the consistent approach).

Principle Accountabilities

  • Accountable for the full Asset Resource Balance for both internal and external resources. The role is meant to provide the optimised plan for the use of Ineos resources and contractor resources in the short (2 weeks), middle (12 weeks) and long term (1 year).
  • Responsible for the preparation of medium and longer term resource demand plans for integration into the contractor demand plan.
  • Accountable for ensuring the timely development of plans/programmes to the level of detail required for efficient / effective scheduling of resources, services, etc.
  • Accountable for the delivery of an effective schedule rolling plan program to optimise the use of resources and delivers a cost effective maintenance service to the Assets
  • Accountable for ensuring contractor planning/scheduling are realistic and deliverable.
  • Responsible to communicate with 3rd parties contractor on a frequently basis to share the 6 weeks lookahead plan and get confirmation from the contractors on proposed schedule. Directly manages schedule contractor feedback on his own by adjusting full job schedules and proactively seeks for information to job owners to validate final adjustments.
  • Strictly controls schedule for different populations (Craft Team, Scaffold, Insulation, Painting, Construction Supervisors,…) adhering to a 2 week fixed plan
  • Provide programme progress reporting and KPI information to Maintenance leadership (e.g. Percentage complete,  schedule performance, schedule attainment, Planning compliance, Coordination compliance,etc).
  • Provide steer to discipline maintenance specialists to improve the planning process and effectively deliver asset specific detail plan
  • Share experience and knowledge with maintenance specialists across O&P in efficient use of the planning tool (Primavera P6).
  • Network with and influence planning teams (including contractors) across site to promote Planning and Maintenance best practices and improve overall planning processes and efficiency.

Job Requirements

  • Must be proficient in Oracle Primavera P6
  • Ability to identify business needs and pull together resources to deliver what is needed
  • Flexible with a wide range of varied experience.
  • Willing to accommodate some periods of personal inconvenience to support the delivery of planned and unplanned work and the effective/timely resolution of unforeseen events.

Qualifications, knowledge and Skills

  • HNC/NVQ Level 3 or significant planning experience using Primavera P6
  • Expert understanding of Primavera P6
  • Disciplined planning and organisation skills together with the ability to perform under pressure.
  • Ability to influence and manage input from multi disciplined teams, both Ineos and 3rd Party
  • Strong networking skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the O&P organisation and to 3rd Parties with the appropriate style
  • Be proficient in computer systems, be able to network effectively with a strong bias for action
  • Has a logical, proactive and methodical approach to problem solving, the ability to recognise key issues
  • Has the ability to assimilate and analyse data and information and to report recommendations and justification.
  • Enthusiastic, highly motivated, and prepared to work flexibly in a changing environment
  • Demonstrates the ability to drive, facilitate and manage change
  • Strong commitment to improvement in SHE performance
