ABOUT OUR OPPORTUNITY
We have an opportunity for an individual to join the Turnaround (TAR team) to co-ordinate the planning and delivery of our scaffolding scope as part of an integrated SIPS team along with Insulation & Painting. The purpose of the role during the pre-TAR preparations phase will be to scope the received work requests from the TAR workpack engineers and develop the plan, schedule, cost estimate for the work. Once the scaffold contractor has been mobilised, then the role will be to track progress, assist with resolving issues and monitor progress and performance of the work against the plan. This will involve working in conjunction with the asset maintenance team and the appointed TAR contractors to deliver a safe and successful TAR.
Key accountabilities
- Deliver an integrated and cost effective scaffolding, insulation and painting service for the business ensuring individual work packages are completed on time and within budget.
- Oversee and endorse scaffolding, insulation, and painting estimates, ensuring a quality service, and that the service represents value for money.
- Drive the execution of individual SIPs activities.
- Drive contractor productivity and identify/eliminate issues that adversely affect productivity.
- Monitor contractor performance and report back to SIPs Team Leader on issues identified.
- Co-ordinate with the asset’s planners.
- Lead individual SIPs task scoping activity.
- Support scope development and constructability reviews to ensure services requirements are optimised for each project.
- Carry out quality inspections, review of actual costs vs. estimated costs, to ensure all services are aligned with the job requirements and represent value for money.
- Influence SIPs contractor employees (by mentoring, coaching, training or other legitimate means) to deliver the required tasks/scopes in the manner and to the quality required by INEOS.
- Keep up to date with SIPs technology/standards and maintain/develop your own skills across the SIPs disciplines (e.g. in inspecting scaffolds for defects, design requirements and in the inspection of insulation and painting for quality).
ABOUT YOU
Required:
- Have significant experience with a SIPs contractor.
- Have extensive experience at supervisor on SIPs contracts (in either a client or contractor role).
- Have direct experience of SIPs within the oil and gas industry and in working on term contracts, projects and TARs.
- Have good knowledge & experience of system & conventional scaffold usage in conjunction with NASC guidance, particularly SG4:15, TG20:13.
- Be able to read isometric drawings & understand work packs.
- Have the ability to scope & estimate work packages.
- Have a proven track record in monitoring and driving contractor performance.
- Be able to communicate effectively at all levels.
