Role Synopsis:

Create business value, operational efficiencies, and financial data integrity through effective management of the SAP Enterprise applications supporting INEOS Aromatics' business functions. This role is the key interface between IT and the business to inform the design, development, and implementation of the SAP strategy for INEOS Aromatics globally.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Support the SAP monthly close processes for Global Aromatics implementing process efficiencies across the organization. Assuring availability and reliability of the SAP and associated systems.
  • Interpret and translate complex SAP datasets and IT concepts to inform SAP platform, structure, and processes into the future.
  • Skillfully draw out stakeholder requirements regarding SAP business processes, very often having to clarify in iterations their specific needs - and advising how each requirement would impact the whole process and system design.
  • Lead, coordinate and support Business Process Managers, Developers and other IT functions as needed to perform system changes in our ERP system, interfaces, add-ons and analytic tools.
  • Maintain a fine balance between technology constraints and business needs to develop cost efficient and maintainable global solutions in SAP that avoid technological pitfalls to maximize business performance.
  • Network with other INEOS businesses to gain knowledge of best practices and develop SAP processes for Aromatics.
  • Support analysis and review of SAP ERP systems together with Global IT teams on system authorization and other security issues regularly. Including developing and maintaining robust support and IT Controls models. 
  • Conduct training for relevant stakeholders so that they understand business processes and the according set up in IT systems.
  • Identify issues, risks, and technical opportunities for discussions, and raise these to the attention of management.
  • The role also manages the technical aspects of the company's reporting platforms (e.g., SAP BW, GMM, ABP, Power BI)
  • Maintain the Governance and Change Management process for updates and enhancements to the SAP instance and associated applications. Communicate governance principles to direct reports and groups that generate demand for IT.
  • Manage & co-ordinate SAP Enhancement Requests and Performance Improvements, including hosting and application support contract with Delaware.

Skills and Knowledge Required:

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor of Science: Finance, Accounting, IT, Engineering, or related field
  • Solid experience in SAP environment, including relevant exposure to business process analysis and design, and knowledge of principles, applications, and techniques of appropriate systems with clear willingness and ability to be ‘hands on’ as required.
  • Experience in implementation of IT applications and IT change management, including requirements analysis, feasibility studies, functional and technical specifications design, pilot testing and operational management.
  • Experience in the process industry, ideally plastics or chemicals industry, with detailed knowledge of procurement, finance and controlling in addition to sales and logistics.

Technical:

  • 5-10 years of experience in SAP in an international manufacturing company
  • Excellent understanding of the business processes in SAP FI/CO as well as extensive SAP Accounting or Controlling knowledge
  • Ability to research requirements, solutions, evaluate alternative approaches, and present recommended solution in SAP-Finance area always taking the end-to-end process into account.

  • Ability to prioritize and multitask under minimal supervision.
