INEOS Inovyn’s portfolio consists of an extensive range of class-leading products arranged across General Purpose (GP) Vinyls; Specialty Vinyls; Organic Chlorine Derivatives; Chlor Alkali; Hydrogen; INEOS Inovyn’s annual commercial production volume is circa 9 million tonnes.

The role’s main purpose is to lead the team, as well as being a practitioner, in providing application support, maintenance, development and project management to ensure Financial & Controlling aspects of business systems enable the delivery of business requirements in a timely and cost-effective manner, within budget, time and resource constraints.

  • Multi-national and multi-business environment
  • Ongoing business re-structuring and change management
  • Integration and harmonisation of business processes & systems across INOVYN
  • Working effectively with cross functional and geographically dispersed teams
  • Close and effective communication with business users and other personnel within the wider IT function
  • Delivery of projects and organisational / process changes whilst only having indirect control of some of the key resources
  • Complex, changing fiscal requirements with regard to VAT and duties.

Overview of key responsibilities & accountabilities

  • Manage, develop and coach members of the Finance & Controlling team to enable delivery of the agreed levels of support for the current, and future, portfolio of Financial applications.
  • Maintain knowledge of INOVYN’s current financial business processes and be able to understand & apply external fiscal regulations.
  • Provide high level of technical application knowledge and relate to functional understanding
  • Manage and develop the finance applications portfolio:
    • Develop strategy in line with requirements of key business contacts
    • Educate key business contacts in the lifecycle & roadmap of main FICO applications
    • Implement improvements / upgrades to FICO applications
  • Develop, implement and maintain consistent application standards, policies and change management processes across the sites & systems
  • Lead, define, plan, scope & deliver business system related projects whilst ensuring adherence to project management & control processes.
  • Maintain and grow knowledge of relevant information system developments, with a view to how to benefit from them within INOVYN

Skills & Experience: 

  • University degree or equivalent, with a strong functional finance background including VAT
  • Minimum 8 years of SAP FI/CO configuration and implementation experience
  • Expertise in business process analysis, standardisation, and end-to-end system support
  • Proven ability to manage change in multinational environments and analyse complex business scenarios
  • Strong line and project management capabilities
  • Advanced problem-solving and issue resolution skills
  • Holistic understanding of SAP modules and their interdependencies
  • Strong knowledge of SAP FICO integration with modules such as SD, MM, and PM
  • Working knowledge of SAPscript and ABAP for debugging and moderate development
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills, with a results-oriented mindset and ability to perform under pressure while maintaining high professional standards
