Role synopsis:

The SAP FICO – Principal Analyst will provide direct support, development, and maintenance in 1-2 modules of the company's Enterprise Resource Planning and related systems.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

SAP ERP Support and Enhancement:

  • Provide functional and configuration expertise for SAP ERP.
  • Test and implement bug fixes and enhancements.
  • Establish and coordinate Super User networks.
  • Leverage Super User knowledge for ERP solutions and change management.
  • Analyze, assess, and document business requirements.
  • Propose ERP solutions and business processes.
  • Deliver ERP system enhancements and projects on time and within cost targets.
  • Ensure ongoing system integrity and stability through proactive monitoring and collaboration.

Innovation and Best Practices:

  • Define and accomplish broadly defined jobs.
  • Develop and share best practices.
  • Generate new ideas and stimulate innovation.
  • Develop procedures and guidelines.
  • Determine priorities and adapt procedures as needed.
  • Develop options and recommendations for utilizing SAP to improve productivity or reduce costs.

Business Process and Data Support:

  • Resolve business process and data issues with functional experts.
  • Assist in IT user training development and delivery.
  • Support users in data management and retrieval.
  • Network with peers for ERP system improvement.
  • Provide guidance to 3rd party support vendors.
  • Monitor and resolve issues on interfaces and batch jobs.
  • Constantly monitor and resolve user issues to achieve satisfaction.

Reporting and Cost Management:

  • Ensure reporting and management information requirements are met.
  • Minimize ERP support costs while ensuring operational integrity.
  • Develop and manage system cycle and integrate testing programs.
  • Work with support and infrastructure partners to ensure system stability.
  • Coach and train team members, Super Users, and users.
  • Manage systems, governance and demand.
  • Conduct SAP access controls and security reviews.
  • Project management: delivery of projects to time, quality, and cost.
  • Act as backup for other SAP functional areas as required.
  • Co-ordination and execution of SAP yearend roll over, loading beginning balances, site plan loads in SAP
  • Deloitte IT Audit- Support completion of audit requests, action items, and mitigation plans as needed
  • Segregation of Duties Power BI tool for Aromatics- Definitions, conflict identification mappings, reporting
  • Annual User SoD/Restricted Roles review- IT owns the SoD/User Power BI file and updating of the ruleset (T-codes that cause conflicts) and SAP Lead owns the business review & mitigation plans

Project Management and SAP S4 Support:

  • Lead and manage SAP S4 project initiatives, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Participate in business projects that have an SAP component
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support SAP S4 implementation and upgrades.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets for SAP S4 projects.
  • Monitor project progress and address any issues or risks.
  • Ensure alignment of SAP S4 projects with business objectives and requirements.
  • Provide training and support to users during SAP S4 transitions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful adoption and integration of SAP S4 solutions.

SAP Development:

  • Design, develop, and implement custom SAP solutions and enhancements.
  • Conduct unit testing and debugging to ensure quality and functionality.
  • Collaborate with functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Maintain and update technical documentation for SAP developments.
  • Support system upgrades and patch implementations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to SAP applications.
  • Support system cycles and manage Integration testing programs
  • Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies and best practices

Skills & Knowledge Required:

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance / Technical with Finance experience; minimum 10 years’ experience in SAP FICO module.

Technical Skills:

  • Understands highly complex technical aspects of role and performs work without supervision. Frequently mentors junior staff in field of expertise.
  • General business process background, with solid understanding of multiple SAP modules Experience in working with, and/or supporting SAP and related applications systems with a good understanding of the configuration and technical aspects of the relevant SAP module.
  • Experience with implementation of new SAP instances or major changes in functionality
  • Able to diagnose and solve complex, rare technical or process issues, and evaluate impact on business. Able to provide multiple, creative alternative solutions as required.

The annual base salary for this position typically ranges between $119,000 and $178,590. Additionally, employees may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus as part of their total compensation package. This salary range is an estimate based on factors such as candidate qualifications, operational needs, and business performance metrics. Actual compensation may vary above or below the stated range, as permitted by applicable laws.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge and skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At INEOS Aromatics, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are carefully made based on the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
