The Sales Manager of INEOS KOH (currently 3 individuals based in North America) is an experienced sales professional with extensive product and market knowledge. This individual will collaborate closely with customers, their peer group, Customer Service, Business Coordinator, Finance, Supply Chain, Quality, and Commercial Manager. The jobholder will understand and execute INEOS KOH’s commercial strategy.
The primary accountabilities of the role are:
Accountability 1: Drive SHE Excellence
Most important activities:
- Perform work safely and without recordable injuries.
- Observe, understand, and respect 7 LSR and 20 Principals.
- Have meaningful conversations at least quarterly with internal stakeholders or customers about the 7 LSR and 20 Principals.
Accountability 2: Deliver on annual Sales Budget and follow strategy guidelines:
Most important activities:
- Work with all internal stakeholders to maximize contribution margin and meet or exceed budget expectations for financial metrics such as contribution margin or EBITDA through volume and sales price optimization.
- Follow sales strategies as defined by Commercial Manager
- Follow INEOS KOH processes for commercial tasks such as pricing management, forecasting, contract and proposal review and approval, and new account set up.
- Manage and anticipate products seasonality.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers.
Accountability 3: Invoicing & Payment
Most important activities:
- No new payment terms higher than 30 days net without prior approval from Enterprises board.
- Work with Accounts Receivable to understand and review credit limits per customer and ensure customers pay within 6 days of terms.
Accountability 4: Market Information
Most important activities:
- Possesses extensive knowledge of INEOS KOH product line, current market conditions, and customer end use applications.
- Shares market information internally in the form of Weekly Updates (via email) by COB every Thursday or sooner if determined appropriate.
Accountability 4: Ensure Full Compliance & Protect INEOS’ interests
Most important activities:
- Observe anti-trust rules.
- Negotiate and review commercial agreement terms and conditions, contracts, and proposals to protect INEOS business interests and deliver business targets.
- Maintain accessible database of all active signed agreements and other commercially relevant documents.
- Seek internal approvals for pricing, customer credits, invoice adjustments, and as applicable DOA’s in a timely manner.
- Submit preapproval requests at least 2 weeks prior to any travel. Turn in Expense Reports no later than 30 days after the end of the month. Adhere to annual expense budget.
