The key focus for the US Onshore business is to acquire, explore and develop properties to produce natural gas, oil and NGL from underground reservoirs safely and efficiently. Key operated assets are in the Eagle Ford shale basin in South Texas. With over 2,000 well producing net 36kBOE per day.

Job Title: Revenue Accounting Manager                                                                  Department: Accounting

Summary of Position

The Revenue Accounting Manager will be responsible for all aspects of revenue and marketing accounting. The successful candidate will proactively lead the revenue and marketing accounting team, manage various projects, design and execute controls to ensure operated and non-operated revenue is accurate, and prepare and review account reconciliations and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Lead revenue and marketing team including hiring, training and on-going performance management.

  • Responsible for all areas of monthly check-write process.

  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements including monthly tax filings.

  • Provide monthly analysis and explanations for revenue, gathering, transportation, and tax expense.

  • Collaborate with IT, production reporting, division order and leadership teams to ensure the monthly revenue process is efficient, accurate and timely.

  • Responsible for monthly operated and non-operated revenue accruals.

  • Manage all aspects of marketing accounting including accounts receivable and invoicing, gathering and processing statement reconciliations, netback preparation and inventory.

  • Develop a solid understanding of unique contracts related to revenue and marketing.  Design processes with the assistance of IT to properly account for these contracts accurately and efficiently.

  • Establish and maintain a process to manage prior period adjustments for operated properties.

  • Review and prepare monthly account reconciliations and analysis.

  • Ensure monthly/quarterly ownership reporting is complete including revenue portions of payout.

  • Lead and participate in special projects, as needed.

  • Provide technical support and advise based on expertise and industry experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related degree

  • 10 years of experience in Revenue Accounting, specifically related to oil and gas

  • 3 years of experience as a supervisor or lead

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel

  • SAP experience preferred

  • Strong analytical and research skills

  • Strong ability to proactively create and improve processes

  • Team-oriented individual

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and fluid environment; flexible with the demands of a growing company

  • Ability to meet deadlines

  • Ability to confidently present and execute ideas

Relocation:

Preferential treatment will be granted to candidates residing in the Denver metropolitan area.

Compensation & Benefits

Please note that the compensation information that follows is a good faith estimate for this position only and is provided pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (EPEWA) and Equal Pay Transparency Rules. It is estimated based on what a successful Colorado applicant might be paid. It assumes that the successful candidate will be in Colorado or perform the position from Colorado. Similar positions located outside of Colorado will not necessarily receive the same compensation.

Compensation:

The annual rate for this position generally ranges between $153,000-$170,000 with an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, of up to 45% of eligible pay. This role, depending on skill level and experience, may also participate in the Long-Term Incentive Plan with annual awards, vesting over three years. These ranges are estimates, based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs, business performance to metrics, and other considerations permitted by law. The range may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Rule 4.1.2.
