Since Sir Jim Ratcliffe announced Project Grenadier in 2017, our team at INEOS Automotive has grown rapidly. From a start-up to the scaled business we are now, we’ve hit some huge milestones along the way. Despite some global challenges, we brought our first vehicle, the INEOS Grenadier, from a vision to prototype and to market in just five years. And now, as we deliver our INEOS Grenadier to our customers, we look to the future with our first all-electric vehicle.

Your role: You will work closely alongside the Head of Sales and Marketing – China and China team functional heads and wider global Commercial teams. The Regional Business Manager is required to define, develop and establish the INEOS Automotive physical sales network across the China Region.  The scope of this role spans responsibility for all retail network functions and will encompass China market immediately.

Accountabilities of the job (including but not limited to):

  • Lead the creation of the INEOS Automotive Retail Network Strategy, vision and roadmap for the entire China Region
  • Spearhead the creation of our retail network footprint across the Region, using macroeconomic indicators at market and local levels, Urban Science population and socio-demographic trends and empirical competitive sales data to identify the optimum network footprint for the Grenadier
  • Implementing the network strategy by identifying multiple potential partners in each geography then engaging and evaluating these partners.
  • Act as ‘voice of the region’ and working closely with central teams at UK headquarters to ensure that regional requirements are taken into account in the ongoing development of retail representation and training plans
  • Collaboration with heads of retail groups to evaluate dealership performance, supporting in requirements to optimise quality, operations and performance
  • Actively manage performance using key data
  • Work closely with the Sales Operation Manager and Aftersales teams to support the Sales & Fleet Operations and Aftersales in meeting customer satisfaction, customer retention, retail network profitability and overall sales targets
  • Acting as advisor to the retail network in initial investment, start of sales, process optimisation and delivery quality activities
  • Represent the voice of the retail network across the business, working cross-functionally to ensure retail network standards are maintained to a top standard while balancing the ability of retail network partners to be profitable and deliver a great customer experience

What we are looking for:

  • 7-10 years in an automotive environment, working and collaborating with retail networks, groups, investors and Distributors
  • Ability to thrive in uncertainty and create structure, clarity and process where none exists, motivating and inspiring the team, colleagues and business partners while doing so.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, Post-graduate degree a plus
  • Experience within the automotive industry and demonstrated aptitude in network development essential
  • Previous experience of creating and successfully driving new strategies in connection with market development, expansion or from-scratch creation
  • Demonstrated experience in managing retail network performance, distilling complex financial and operational performance data and proposing simple, logical solution that respect the needs of both the company and its retail partners
  • Proven track record of developing and leading the implementation of retail network training programmes, ideally in multiple market
  • A data-led network champion, capable of enhancing the representation of the INEOS Automotive Brand through physical brand representation at retail, sales and service delivery quality and support of our retail partners to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
  • Very strong financial acumen and analytical ability, with a clear understanding of retail partner accounts, performance indicators and drivers of performance
  • Driven and motivated to create a high performing, digital experience team that adapts, develops and grows through continuous feedback and improvement
  • Strong strategic ability with experience working within a customer-focused, high-growth, digital-first, tech platform
  • Exceptional communication, persuasion and relationship-building skills and experience of working with and influencing senior stakeholders
  • Strong business acumen and a good level of commercial awareness
  • The skill and ability to develop, nurture and cement constructive and mutually-beneficial relationships with external partners is paramount
  • Proficiency in English language highly desirable.
