About the Role
You will be responsible for leading and executing multiple CAPEX projects – from equipment replacement to efficiency improvements and safety/environmental upgrades. You ensure that all projects are carried out safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory requirements and INEOS standards.
You will play a key role in shaping the future of the plant through improved operational reliability, support for operational excellence, and development of the next generation of engineering talent. The role includes responsibility for HSE performance, cost control, progress, design quality, and supplier management.
Areas of Responsibility
- Continuous improvement within safety, health, environment, and quality.
- Ensure safe design, installation, and execution of all project activities.
- Promote a strong safety culture among employees and suppliers.
- Budget and portfolio management
- Lead planning, scheduling, and execution of CAPEX projects.
- Manage the CAPEX portfolio according to approved budgets.
- Report monthly on deviations between budget and actual cost.
- Lead strategies for engineering, design, construction, inspection, and quality control.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
- Collaborate closely with Maintenance, Production, and support functions.
- Participate in MOC reviews.
- Ensure project descriptions are complete and approved before execution.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of CAPEX engineers.
- Lead CAPEX and long‑term planning meetings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field; a Master’s degree is an advantage.
- Documented experience in project management within industrial facilities.
- Experience in operations, maintenance, or engineering leadership.
- Knowledge of ilmenite smelting and TiO₂ slag production is an advantage.
- Familiarity with electrical equipment, instrumentation, and pneumatic systems is beneficial.
- Experience with ISO systems and relevant software tools.
- Six Sigma competence is a plus.
