Production Maintenance Coordinator is accountable for coordinating the daily activities between the operations and maintenance groups and performing sound job planning to ensure the safe, cost efficient execution of plant maintenance work.Day shift with base hours of 0630 – 1500.  This is a safety critical role.

Key activities include:

  • Lead the daily communication with maintenance and operations personnel on daily basis to place proper priority on maintenance jobs and coordinate priority changes as necessary
  • Ensures compliance with the site job prioritization matrix and serves as the central communication/coordination hub for priority 1 jobs that occurTakes an active role in the daily/weekly planning and scheduling meetings and communicates information on equipment criticality, product scheduling requirements, future line outage opportunities, and any problems affecting quality or utility to ensure that appropriate maintenance and planning decisions are made
  • Ensures that scope of work addresses all critical issues concerning production, maintenance and plant reliability while minimizing downtime
  • Reviews the daily maintenance schedule to ensure that the scope of each job meets the plant needs and ensures that complete and accurate descriptions are included
  • For complex and/or non-routine jobs not covered by SOP’s, creates written operations plans that systematically outlines equipment preparation procedures, including details on clearing decommissioning, lock-out, blinding, and any special instructions for line breaks, confined entry, and hot work
  • Ensures accountability for executing work per the schedule by pointing out deficiencies/inefficiencies to operations and maintenance supervision
  • Works with maintenance and operations to continually refine/optimize job plans for the efficient execution of all maintenance and RFC work
  • Reviews all RFC packages issued from the technical group to understand the scope of the project, its intended objective, and any safety, environmental or operational implications
  • Review deviated PM’s and update system with reason for deviation
  • Provides key leadership for planning and execution of minor and major turnarounds; includes day-by-day work flow planning, ensuring schedule compliance, and coordination of post-turnaround audits to ensure improvements are incorporated into future turnaround strategies
  • Reviews and prioritizes recommendations from the reliability group and ensures implementation in a timely fashion.
  • Schedule scaffolding and insulation contractors and review daily time sheets, and track monthly spending.
  • Schedule high-pressure cleaning and vac services review daily time sheets, and track monthly spending.
  • Coordinates winterization activities & ensure the plant is ready for cold temperatures.
  • Adheres to INEOS Pigments’ Safety Principles and Life Saving Rules.

About You:

You should possess:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 5-7+ years plant operations experience, and a basic understanding of equipment and processes utilized throughout the plant site
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills are required due to frequent interaction with departmental personnel and functional groups; prior supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and planning skills are required in order to assure that maintenance work is executed in a controlled, coordinated and efficient manner
  • Excellent computer skills and a working knowledge of the maintenance planning and work order CMMS (SAP) system
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, and ability to promote / maintain cooperative relationships among employees, peers and superviso

  • This is a salaried exempt, day shift position Ashtabula Ohio Plant 1
