Production Engineer

Location: Ulsan

1. SHE Excellence
   - This position – and all positions - within the INEOS Styrolution organization requires that the incumbent commit to learning, following and practicing INEOS 20 Principles of Process and Behavioural Safety as applicable to the position. Each employee must also commit to following INEOS’ Life-Saving rules on a daily basis. These rules are posted within each INEOS Styrolution facility. 
   - Follow site procedures aligned with INEOS Group Guidance Notes (IGGNs) and SGGNs
   - Active support to the safety culture at site/plant and work safely for incident free operation.
   - Understand and follow annual SHE improvement plan for the site/plant.
   • Following and practicing One Strike Rule at site (Life Saving Rules)
   • Contribute to Behaviour Based Safety (BBS) program at site.
   • Contribute to INEOS Styrolution Asset Care program
   • Following Permit to Work, LOTO as per the site procedure
   • Intervene to stop unsafe work
   • Observe and follow all rules and procedures
   • Support Site SHE committee to resolve safety issues and drive SHE performance.

2. Process Safety Management
   - Manage and review of process information such as Process Flow Diagrams, Piping and Instrumentation drawings, and plot plans
   - Participate/Lead in unit risk assessments, Process Hazard Analyses , and Layer of Protection Analyses as required
   - Lead/participate in incident investigations to identify root causes and corrective recommendations to prevent reoccurrence
   - Assist in the completion of audit/PSM/quality action items
   - To support Process engineer to conduct a systematic evaluation of all asset to identify the critical assets and protective systems, whose integrity is to be maintained at plant.
   - Participate review process of preventive maintenance scheduling to maintain and test critical assets and protective systems.
   - Ensure that all organizational changes requiring a Management of Change are completed with the appropriate safety reviews.
   - Review maintenance activities and tests to maintain/improve asset integrity.

3. People management
   - Provide work instruction and technical guidance.
   - Train the operators in the team.
   - Conducts hearings to resolve or effect settlement of grievances

4. Production management
   - Review and monitor daily production schedule and result
   - Coordinate regular maintenance schedule to meet manufacturing objectives with minimized downtime.
   - Communicate production situation within team to support production plan.
   - Monitor raw material inventory.

5. Operations
   - Review and analyse production, quality control, maintenance, and operational log sheets to find out cause of nonconformities in plant operation.
   - Develop, maintenance, and implement the Standard operating procedures with Process engineer, Maintenance and QC team.
   - This includes identifying appropriate parameters, consequence of deviations, and corrective actions; setting the safe operating envelop limits; and investigating; and exceedances designed to eliminate operating problems and to improve product quality.
   - Perform daily walk-through in plant to ensure early diagnosis of any abnormalities, effective corrective actions, and preventive practices.
   - Implement and monitor trial production or changes to improve productivity and to reduce cost by working with Procurement, Technical support, QC, Development, and Process engineer.
   - Interface with process engineer and Maintenance team to coordinate maintenance schedule and troubleshooting at production interruptions.
   - Provide input on training of team members with regards to operations technology, plant experiences, plant record keeping, and safety
   - Preparation and support for unit shutdowns, turnarounds, and start-ups.
    

6. Required profile:

   Level of education & Knowledge:
   - B.S. Degree in chemical engineering or chemistry related.
   - Basic engineering knowledge and skills
   - Good written and verbal English
   
   Experience in general:
   - Needs to be results oriented
   
   Technical skills:
   - Computer skills necessary for data analysis and computations
   - Basic knowledge of process equipment 
   - Must possess an ability to read and understand engineering Process Flow Diagrams, Piping and Instrumentation drawings, and plot plans 
   - Root cause analysis skills
