Job Title: Production Accountant Department: Operations
Summary of Position
INEOS Energy Onshore US is seeking an experienced Production Accountant to become a valued member of our team located in Denver, Colorado. The candidate should demonstrate a strong comprehension of production accounting procedures in the upstream oil and gas sector and exhibit proficiency in utilizing production accounting and SAP software to support various related business functions. As a Production Accountant, you will interface regularly with Revenue accounting, Engineering, Marketing, and Operations. This position reports to the Production Accounting, Allocation, and Measurement Manager.
Responsibilities
As a production accountant you will be responsible for ensuring accurate daily allocations in ProdView and transferring monthly allocations to SAP, generating monthly reports to State and Federal agencies in compliance with specific deadlines, and adhering to industry regulations. We are a data driven organization and looking to add likeminded team members who have a strong desire to create and use data analytics and visualization tools is a must.
- Perform daily responsibilities to review and processing of all oil and gas production.
- Oversee, maintain and perform complex production allocation networks.
- Ensure accurate volume upload/entry of over 1,000 operated properties.
- Oversee daily and monthly integration from ProdView to PRA (SAP).
- Demonstrate team leadership skills and assist manager in coaching, reviewing, and delegating work to other team members.
- Proactively monitor variance reports to identify and resolve any volumetric discrepancies.
- Investigate ways to transition manual work activities to artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML)
- Validate and reconcile oil invoices/statements to daily/monthly trucking tickets.
- Validate and reconcile gas statements to daily/monthly gas production.
- Ensure proper well statuses are maintained.
- Ensure proper well tests are maintained.
- Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, and Revenue Accounting to ensure new wells and site changes are properly reflected in ProdView.
- Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, and Revenue Accounting to ensure Allocation Flow Diagrams are accurately maintained, updated, and stored.
- Prepare and submit regulatory filings related to production data – RRC & ONRR.
- Validate and reconcile complex SWD/Skim oil allocations and assist in P-18 filings.
- Other projects as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting/Finance, related field, or comparable experience required.
- 5+ years’ experience in accounting required with oil and gas production experience, preferred.
- Strong knowledge of oil and gas production accounting principles, techniques, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in using production accounting software with a focus on ProdView.
- Proficiency in using the PRA Production module within SAP.
- Excellent people skills and practiced motivational behaviors.
- Must be able to proactively identify system and production issues and drive towards solutions that eliminate reoccurrence.
- Proven experience as an accountant in the oil and gas industry.
- Must have an aptitude for data analytics.
- Highly proficient in advanced MS Excel including Pivot Tables and Functions
- Travel: Field visits as required.
Qualifications

- Experience with regulatory requirements and compliance in the oil and gas sector.
- Experience submitting reports to State and EIA
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of PowerBI is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, teamwork, planning, and organizing skills.
- Good documentation skills required to support analysis and problem resolution.
Relocation:
Preferential treatment will be granted to candidates residing in the Denver, Colorado metropolitan area.

Compensation & Benefits
Please note that the compensation information that follows is a good faith estimate for this position only and is provided pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (EPEWA) and Equal Pay Transparency Rules. It is estimated based on what a successful Colorado applicant might be paid. It assumes that the successful candidate will be in Colorado or perform the position from Colorado. Similar positions located outside of Colorado will not necessarily receive the same compensation.
Compensation:
The annual rate for this position generally ranges between $85,000 - $125,000 with an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, of up to 21% of eligible pay. These ranges are estimates, based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs, business performance to metrics, and other considerations permitted by law. The range may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Rule 4.1.2.
