ABOUT OUR OPPORTUNITY
The key requirement of this role is to procure materials and equipment, ensuring best value for INEOS cash and provision of materials to meet the site Capex demand, Maintenance & TAR (shutdown) programmes.
The individual will be responsible for ensuring all materials and equipment are procured in compliance with site standards and specifications, meeting the necessary quality requirements across various assets within the business.
Key accountabilities
- Procurement of engineered material and equipment including critical, high value, complex equipment ensuring business strategy and market approach delivers maximum benefit to O&P UK business.
- Network with the INEOS Group procurement organisation to maximise group leverage possibilities.
- Ensure security of supply of all material & equipment to the correct technical specification, compliance to site standards, and adherence to schedule to meet operational requirements.
- Provide assets & and internal stakeholders with expert advice on procurement related risks, market conditions & supply chain (commercial and technical).
- Lead negotiations with key suppliers to secure favourable and competitive commercial terms, always ensuring best value for INEOS cash.
- Develop & formalise Procurement strategies in conjunction with internal stakeholders (Project managers, Asset Technical managers, Site Technical Authorities and Maintenance Managers), overseeing finalisation of appropriate sourcing strategy.
- Identify and recommend new suppliers & contractors to the O&P UK businesses where commercial and/or technical advantage can be demonstrated.
- Responsibility for a wide range of materials & equipment commodities across normal Repair & Maintenance, Project & TAR demand (e.g. valves, electrical, mechanical, PPE, chemicals etc.)
ABOUT YOU
Required:
- Previous procurement experience in a large, complex manufacturing environment.
- MCIPS qualified preferred (or studying towards) or equivalent chartered membership.
- IT skills including MS Office (Excel, Word etc).
- Deep understanding of external cost drivers, impacting materials pricing with ability to establish and promote approach to market strategies to mitigate unnecessary cost within the supply chain.
- Self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills, comfortable communicating across internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Expert, advanced negotiation skills and techniques with experience of VA/VE.
Desired:
- SAP & Database analysis experience.
