INEOS has an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Analyst to join our Composites business at our Columbus, OH location. 

INEOS Composites is a global chemical business with sales volume of 320 kte and revenue in excess of $1 billion.  The Composites business has 6 manufacturing operations in the US, 1 in Brazil, 4 in Europe, 2 in China along with offices and headquarters in Ohio, Barcelona and Shanghai. The Composites Business primary products include unsaturated polyester resins (UPRs), vinyl ester resins (VERs) and gel coats. 

Job Objective

The Procurement Analyst will primarily be responsible for the onboarding of new suppliers and raw materials, ensuring pricing/freight/INCOTERMS and other information is accurate in SAP, tracking supplier compliance with various regulations such as forced labor and conflict minerals, reporting key procurement metrics, and working closely with accounts payable on direct material invoice discrepancies. A secondary responsibility will be the management of assigned raw material categories to allow for personal growth in procurement.

Key Responsibilities of the position include, but not limited to:

  • Work with direct material procurement team and suppliers to ensure that pricing is accurate in SAP
  • Create outline agreements (OAs) in SAP so that plant personnel can create purchase orders with approved suppliers for raw materials
  • Create and maintain vendor accounts within SAP in collaboration of the Master Data team to allow for correct payment to vendors
  • Resolve invoice issues with suppliers and direct accounts payable how to process discrepant invoices
  • Update monthly raw material cost spreadsheet that goes to key stakeholders at the beginning of each month
  • Maintain and update department procurement documentation to include processes, policies, and procedures
  • Collect required documentation from suppliers to onboard new suppliers and raw materials
  • Become the department subject matter expert and user in the INEOS new product database
  • Document cost savings achieved a minimum of every calendar quarter
  • Extract, analyze, and prepare reports to measure key supplier and internal performance-to-plan
  • Support the development and implementation of procurement strategies
  • Become the SAP subject matter expert in the Procurement Department

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Logistics/Supply Chain, or other related fields OR equivalent work experience
  • Previous experience in purchasing/procurement/sourcing with responsibility of updating pricing and other procurement information in SAP desired
  • Knowledge and use of SAP, Excel, PowerPoint and data analysis tools
  • Demonstrated quantitative and analytical skills which can be applied to problem solving, critical thinking, change management and project management work
  • Ability to interpret contracts, as well as ongoing contract/supplier management
  • Ability to draft and execute tenders
  • Use of knowledge of business economics and global drivers and trends and anticipating how that applies to raw materials sourcing for the composites business
  • Strong negotiation and rigorous analytical skills
  • Ability to identify issues and root cause
  • Quickly develop a breadth of knowledge to understand the impact of decisions across the organization
  • Clear communicator (in verbal, written & presentation form)
