Today the job holder performs HAZOPs and process safety related topics for both Antwerp sites.
The job implies dealing with installations with products of which most are toxic, flammable and/or corrosive and complex technologies.
The process safety manager reports to the SHEQ manager of the site.
Deploys Process Safety polities, objectives, programs and tools
- Sets up the five year hazop reviews and perform the HAZOPs with the PHA-tool. Make sure that hazop’s are properly registered, kept and made available for relevant employees
- Follows the realization of the action points from HAZOPS and reports to the site manager on status
- Takes also care of
- ATEX studies are performed and document are kept up-to-date
- Management of Change
- Risk analysis & Risk assessment
- SIL architecture and calculation
- SCA&SCS (Safety Critical Alarms, actions & automatic Systems
- Keeping with the environmental dpt. the SEVESO reports up-to-date
- Provide Process Safety support during design phase of construction projects.
- Contributes to the development of the HSE culture within the Group via campaigns in own domain.
- Delivers expertise for the analysis of Process Safety incidents / non-conformities on sites and assists in the analysis the process related incidents
Ensures compliance with HSE policy, standards, rules and regional regulations
- Deploy the Group Process Safety policy and programs within own perimeter and develop and improve standards
- Deploy and follow up Group Process Safety instructions, guidelines and tools within own perimeter.
Provides expertise, information, advice and support to the organization
- Close corporation with SHE corporate for process safety issues and
- Provides HSE expertise and advice to the sites and to the Group, on demand and/or own initiatives. This includes assisting HAZOP’s or other process safety risk studies within the group
Contributes to the dialogue with authorities and external stakeholders
- Be the contact person for Seveso inspection and other Process related audits Defends and contributes the INOVYN/INEOS activities towards the authorities and the community at large.
- Represents INOVYN n external working groups
Required profile:
University Degree in Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
At least 5 years of experience in Process Safety Management System, preferably in the process industry.
- Risk identification Techniques : HAZID, HAZOP, WHAT-IF, FMEA,
- Risk assessment & Functional safety : LOPA & SIL, Proven in use (BASF)
- European legislation and directories
- SIL Design and Architecture evaluation
- ATEX classification
- Incident investigation techniques
- Excellent inter-personal skills and openness, must be innovative and pro-active.
