Compensation Grade
ACE-USD-SALThis is a Process Engineer position at the INEOS Acetyls - Texas City site. The position will report into the Engineering Department and will interact with Manufacturing, Maintenance, Commercial Development, Environmental and Safety personnel to optimize and support manufacturing areas, implement capital projects, and support site development efforts. This position reports to the Area Manager of Engineering for the Texas City site.
Job Responsibilities:
Promote Institutionalizing Operational Excellence Principles in Manufacturing
Continuous improvement
Safe, reliable operations
Knowledge capture and transfer
Actively participate in safety programs, e.g., audits, PHAs, PSRs, MOC, JSAs, etc.
Positively influence people development and institutionalization of core values
Provide Process Engineering Support
Coordinate relationships with Process Engineering support
Provide basic process engineering support for the site such as process simulation (ASPEN) for new and existing production facilities
Provide technical evaluations to support commercial development efforts
Coordinate the relief design support at the site
Lead Project Development Efforts
Define and implement plans for needed changes and improvement projects in the areas of safety, quality, reliability and cost
Work with Manufacturing Department to coordinate and champion the prioritization of capital projects for the site and communicate to the Project Engineering group
Define required capital for new projects
Work with Manufacturing and Engineering to help forecast the capital needs for the site
Provide Process Technical Support for the Operating Departments and Commercial Development
Conduct engineering studies and troubleshoot processes to support manufacturing
Provide capacity evaluations of existing and modified equipment
Develop Process and Instrument Diagrams (P&ID’s) for new and modified facilities
Identify process bottlenecks and develop projects to provide incremental capacity increases
Qualifications:
Minimum required education - B.S. in Chemical Engineering from accredited college/university
Work experience – ten or more years of related process engineering or manufacturing experience
Experience with process simulation (ASPEN), relief design, and capital project development and execution – preferred
Other – Willingness to relocate to the Texas City/Houston area
