The Position: 

This position maintains the reliability of the processes, coordinates the root-cause analysis of high-impact failures, coordinates and implements the Capex projects and process optimization for the Plant.

What you will do: 

Process Operation Safety:

  • Responsible for defining and maintaining safe operating limits in accordance to the process safety limits instruction.

  • Participates in the HAZOP studies of Processes and Projects and coordinates the generation of MOCs of the processes in the Plant.

Process optimization

  • Reviews, coordinates, and executes optimization projects with project personnel.

  • Implements the optimization projects determined by the technology area.

  • Proposes process optimization projects to avoid raw material -scrap- losses off spec and energies.

Production Processes Reliability

  • It ensures the reliability of production processes through prevention tools such as AMEF, Process Safety, root cause analysis.

  • It Identifies the BAD ACTORS of the processes in order to eliminate or reduce them.

What you will bring: 

Level of education & Knowledge:

Chemical Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Mechanical Engineer

Experience in general:

At least 3 years of experience in Chemical Processes, chemical reactions (exothermic, solution and emulsion polymerization, heat exchange).

Knowledge in Process Safety

Knowledge in ASPEN Explorer & ASPEN Plus

Technical skills:

English - Intermediate

Failure analysis tools

Quality tools

Project Management

Competencies, Behavioral skills:

Results Orientation, Entrepenurship, Customer Orientation, Valuing and Respecting People, Reliability and Responsibility.
