For our office/site in Cologne we are looking for a

Process Engineer  (F/M)

We are looking for a Process Engineer to join the Engineering Team of our Technical Service Department.


Responsibilities / Accountabilities of the Job:
-    develops process knowledge for on-site production of butadiene rubber, SAN and ABS   
-    participates in safety studies (HAZOP) 
-    analyses plant processes and identifies improvement opportunities 
-    supports plant trials in cooperation with Production/Plant Manager 
-    is responsible for conducting conceptual process design (feasibility) studies and presenting the results to the site management team 
-    leads the planning and implementation of smaller projects in cooperation with external engineering companies 
-    acts as discipline lead of process engineering for bigger projects 
-    participates in the annual planning of the site's capital expenditure (CAPEX) and monitors expenditure monthly 
   
Required Qualifications:
-    Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (i.e. Process Engineering or equivalent) 
-    2-3 years of experience in process engineering and/or project management is desirable
-    Sound knowledge of chemical engineering, especially extrusion, compounding, and conveying technology  
-    Hand-on-mentality, enjoy working in an interdisciplinary environment
-    Result-oriented with good planning, organisational and coordination skills
-    Basic understanding of business economics 
-    German and English language skills
