Plant Inspector

We're  looking for a a Plant Inspector to join the INEOS Acetyls team.

You will be based at the Hull site, which is the largest producer of acetic acid, acetic anhydride and ethyl acetate in Europe. The products we produce are essential building blocks used in almost every industry, including renewable power, automotive, pharmaceuticals, coatings and textiles.

Hull is also home to the business's global technology development and support team and is based on the 370-acre Saltend Chemicals Park - a cluster of world-class chemicals and renewable energy businesses at the heart of the UK's energy estuary.

The Opportunity

This role is responsible for the preparation, execution and reporting of mechanical pressure equipment inspections to ensure compliance with Statutory requirements and Ineos requirements for Safe, Reliable Operations

  • Uphold the “INEOS 20 BEHAVIOURAL & PROCESS SAFETY PRINCIPLES” & “Life Saving Rules” in all activities undertaken.
  • External legislative requirements e.g. PSSR
  • Ineos requirements e.g. IGGN’s
  • Internal management system requirements of ISO17020 / UKAS accredited Inspection Organisation

Key accountabilities:

  • Manages Inspection portfolio for a specific plant area
  • Writes Inspection & Test Plans
  • Prepares and Completes Inspections according to schedule
  • Analyses NDT results
  • Updates Risk Based Inspection assessments
  • Completes Inspection reporting & scheduling
  • Plans and executes inspections for plant Turnarounds
  • Updates the Inspection Data Management System

Technical Skills:

  • Cat 2 Plant Inspector (Pressure Vessels, Pipework, Tanks, Relief Devices)
  • Minimum HNC in mechanical discipline
  • In depth knowledge of legislation, codes and standards related to mechanical equipment integrity
  • In depth knowledge of Risk Based Inspection
