Planning Performance and Reporting Lead

Location:

Cooper River Plant, Wando, SC

Role synopsis:

The Planning Performance and Reporting Lead provides accurate and timely reporting regarding Cooper River operations to the Cooper River and Global Aromatics Finance leadership team.

Supports the Cooper River Finance Manager in the processes of Planning, Forecasting, Performance insight and Reporting of Cooper River performance to support the delivery of strategic agenda and in-year targets.

Provides financial information such as Month End reports, forecast, and other ad hoc reports to stakeholders.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for Cooper River site annual planning, rolling forecasts process, ensuring plans are appropriately challenged and providing assurance to Cooper River Finance Manager.
  • Supports strategy refresh activity and 5-year shape through translating strategic programs/ activities into financials to enable the business to fully understand the impacts of decisions, identifying opportunities or risks and providing assurance on the process integrity.
  • Manages the consolidation and supports the review of plan and forecast.  Applies market, competitive and financial lens to evaluate delivery probability, opportunities and risks.
  • Supports annual planning and forecasting processes of Global PTA to ensure plans and forecasts are grounded in the reality of the business and external environment, opportunities and vulnerabilities are articulated and variance vs. strategic objectives and financial framework are highlighted.
  • Coordinate and validate inputs for Variable Cost Forecasting and Budgeting
  • Perform closing activities regarding inventory revaluation (COSA and FCIS)
  • Logistics cost review with commercial department on monthly basis.
  • Responsible for Manufacturing month-end entries such as standard costing updates, consumptions of raw materials, and inventory transfers.
  • Inventory accounts reconciliations.
  • Calculation, analysis, and verification of production metrics including Yields and mass balancing.
  • Intra-divisional billing and receipts process
  • Revenue and COGS accruals. Palladium and precious metal entries for ME
  • Cash Weekly Forecast
  • Support Audits

  • Knowledgeable in technical accounting and financial statements
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good grasp of business context and drivers
  • Prioritizes task effectively and works to tight deadlines

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
  • Minimum of 5 years of Finance, Accounting, or related work experience preferably in a Chemical industry environment
