ABOUT OUR OPPORTUNITY
The Pipeline Specialist will ensure the integrity and availability of the cross country pipelines through the safe execution of day to day maintenance routines & integrity works and wayleave works on the pipeline network. The role will also ensure that resources are used efficiently through the application of effective work planning.
Key accountabilities
- To carry out the activities to satisfy the HSE inputs and performance contract for the pipeline team and provide HSE leadership for the contractor teams in the provision of the care and maintenance of the pipelines.
- Develop and deliver work packs, task based risk assessments, method statements, contractors briefing and act as permit issuing authority to ensure that all works on the pipeline network are executed in a safe manner.
- Support and supervise on a day to day the pipelines team embedded resource team and other site contractors.
- Prepare, develop and deliver minor modification designs within the pipeline asset, ensuring all modifications follow the site modifications process.
- To provide out of hours emergency response (PERO) and care & maintenance support via the team on call roster.
ABOUT YOU
You should:
- Be educated in a Mechanical, Process, Maintenance or I/E related discipline.
- Have extensive experience in one of the above trade backgrounds.
- Be highly responsible, adaptable and able to undertake multi-disciplinary tasks.
- Demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of HSE requirements applied to working on a remote pipeline asset.
- Be able to communicate and influence others at all levels in the organisation.
- Be able to work with little to no supervision.
- Be capable of dealing with and taking action on issues out with their normal experience, if asked to back fill for other team members.
