Purpose/Role of the job:
Safely operate all sections of the EBSM plant to produce styrene that meets the internal manufacturing specifications.
Primary Responsibilities/ Accountabilities of the job:
• This position – and all positions - within the INEOS Styrolution organization requires that the incumbent commit to learning, following and practicing INEOS 20 Principles of Process and Behavioural Safety as applicable to the position.
• These are posted within each INEOS Styrolution facility. Each employee must also commit to following INEOS’ Life-Saving rules on a daily basis. These rules are posted within each INEOS Styrolution facility. Additionally, employees must
• Report all incidents including activations of safety critical alarms/systems or exceedances of operating envelopes.
• Participate as needed for incident investigations, Management of Change, Process Hazard Analysis/LOPA
• Operate within a team of operators to cover the Styrene/Ethylbenzene/Utilities Outside and Board sections and Tank Farm section.
• Complete safe work permits for area including field JSA for each job
• Report any equipment problems for maintenance
• Secure equipment for maintenance and return to service after maintenance is complete
• Monitor process to ensure the unit is performing within safe operating conditions
Additional Responsibilities Include:
• Successful completion of all required training modules and testing for technician qualification.
• Identify any piping or equipment.
• Assist with training technicians.
• Emergency Response Team member, as required.
• Rotation through all inside and outside operating systems while fulfilling all requirements of the operations progression system.
REQUIRED PROFILE:
Level of Education & Experience:
• Must have a High School Diploma or GED; AND
ONE of the following:
• Process Technology degree from an accredited program;
• Have at least 5 years’ experience as an Operator in a chemical plant, refinery or gas processing plant

• Ability to adapt and contribute within a team environment
• Must have good communication skills and be able to follow written instructions
• Must be able to analyze written instructions and assist in their development
• Be able to understand calculations when used
• Be able to walk to any location in the plant over varying terrain including ditches, dikes and catwalks
• Climb 75' stairs and 200' ladders and enter vessels at various heights through 24" manways
• Must be able to wear, fit and use a respirator and self-contained breathing apparatus, earplugs, goggles, safety glasses, radio and any other safety equipment
• Ability to manually lift up to 50 lbs.
