INEOS has an opportunity for an Operational Lead Supervisor at our Philadelphia, PA plant.

Job Function

The Operational Lead Supervisor assists the Operations Manager and the Manufacturing Supervisor to promote the smooth flow of tasks, information, and documents in the Production department.  The Operational Lead Supervisor acts as liaison between maintenance and production and ensures that crews operate following all safety, environmental and security policies.  The Operational Lead Supervisor generally works a Monday through Friday schedule but may need to work additional hours and days to meet business needs and may be assigned to cover a Supervisor vacancy.  The Operational Lead Supervisor will report to the Operations Manager.

Responsibilities include

  • Coordinate product shipments with approved carriers
  • Review receiving logs for accuracy and notify Purchasing and Logistics Manager of any scheduled shipments that didn't deliver
  • Ensure Goods Issues are complete and accurate for all shipments leaving the plant
  • Verify that all scheduled shipments have been picked up by the carrier.  Notify Operations Manager of any discrepancies
  • Be proficient in the main corporate software packages, such as SAP and Microsoft applications
  • Supervise daily inventories for raw materials
  • Oversee physical and transactional movements of goods within the warehouse and responsible for organization of the warehouse
  • Review and authorize safe work permits
  • Prioritize the maintenance work to be done and coordinate the timing and availability of equipment with the Maintenance Supervisor
  • Assist in generating and revising operating procedures and the training of operators on procedures
  • Assist in the safety training of Operators
  • Monitor new employee training on a weekly basis until fully qualified.
  • May cover for other Production Supervisors on weekdays or weekend days
  • Adhere to all SHE aspects to include Security for the facility and community
  • Both Physical and Mental components of the job may be necessary within any area of the plant premises

Qualifications

  • Highschool diploma required; College degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing, chemical plant environment (including Co-Op or internship experience if applicable)
  • Knowledge of OSHA, DOT and EPA Regulations
  • Excellent computer skills with knowledge of all Microsoft applications
  • Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Must be a team player yet work independently to achieve goals
  • Willing to work occasional 12 hour shift as needed.
