Having committed to significant investment over the next few years, we now require an IT Network Engineer with relevant experience to play a key role in the delivery and support of this growth in our business.
Job Purpose
To support and deliver strategies, policies and processes to deliver IT infrastructure support on behalf of O&P UK, FPS and Petroineos, within budget and resource constraints. This role will manage the infrastructure, both internal and 3rd party, support and deliver the business and Group IT Strategy, Group Cyber Security Policies and adhere to Group IT guidelines.
The IT Network Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting, and security of the organisation's network infrastructure, ensuring reliable connectivity and availability of business-critical IT services across multiple sites and operational environments. This includes LAN, WAN, wireless networks, telecoms, network security, monitoring systems, and support of associated infrastructure technologies.
The post holder will work closely with the IT Infrastructure Team Lead to deliver a cost effective and reliable service to the business. The post holder will also work closely with the Projects Manager to deliver a portfolio of projects, providing technical input for small, medium and large-scale projects.
Principle Accountabilities
Design, configure, maintain, monitor and support the LAN infrastructure to ensure a secure, efficient and reliable network across sperate INEOS businesses.
Troubleshooting, diagnose and resolve network systems incidents / issues to meet Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) across separate businesses.
Follow IT Infrastructure Technology Strategy to achieve business goals, ensuring alignment with relevant INEOS businesses and INEOS Group.
Work with vendors and outsources partners to meet agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA’s)
Identify any key IT network infrastructure vulnerabilities to the IT Infrastructure Team Lead and provide recommendations to support appropriate risk mitigation.
Work with the Project Manager to support delivery of IT projects on time and on budget.
Participate as an active member of the INEOS GNT to achieve INEOS GNT assigned objectives.

The IT Infrastructure environment facilitates business process throughout all functions including manufacturing, procurement, sales, logistics, finance and management. Many of these systems are critical to the daily operation of the business and require a high degree of availability.
Supporting multiple businesses, with separate strategies and management teams.
Qualifications, knowledge and Skills
Qualifications & Experience
Significant relevant IT Network Engineering experience.
Desirable certification CCNA/CCNP, ACSP/ACMP, AZ-700, NSE4/FCP
Technical Skills
Administration, management and maintenance of network equipment such as Cisco Merki routers, HPE Aruba switches and controller based wireless technologies.
Network monitoring and IPAM tooling.
CMDB to manage network related equipment.
Understanding and managing network security
Network authentication using NPS/Clear pass.
Designing and implementing wireless networks.
Designing and implementing cloud-based network services.
Experience troubleshooting network connectivity issues
Managing telecom systems – analogue and VOIP.
Network implementations that include separation of business and operations networks.
Communication
Excellent written and spoken English language skills are essential, including presentation skills.
